in this video we are treating some outside wooden cladding on an outhouse to help restore some of its former beauty, well at least improving it from its current condition. i thought this would make a interesting transformation to watch as a time lapse so here it is. i am using my new gopro hero 10 so am trying to get used to the camera so
my apologies if its not the best filming.
to improve the longevity of this beautiful out building we are painting on some weather protection, as these old wooden cladding boards where incredibly dry and starting to deteriorate in the British weather. using a creocote style oil based product (like a modern day traditional creosote alternative) on these wooden boards, this should both bring out the wood grain and help to repel water thus helping to protect against rotting away for some time to come. overall it had 2 coats and the finish in my opinion has made the outside of the building look much improved. as you can see im using a board on the floor and brushing on instead of spraying on the product to try reduce the damage to the environment from any drips or over spray.
