In our institute, 50 mg/ml Or sometimes 25 mg/ ml concentration of dobutamine is available. If you have 12.5 mg/ ml concentration then you have to always multiply 1.2 with weight for 24 hours drip ( dose will be equivalent to 10 ug/ kg / min. dobutamine)
@@learningpediatrics5347i have a question mom, so we calculated the dose at 1mcg/kg/min in this formula, how do we calculate it to run at 0.05 mcg or 0.15mcg?? So mom in my local hospital in africa they calculate it as follows If we start over at 0.05mcg/kg min the rate it runs over is 1ml/hr If it was 0.1mcg/kg/min the rate it runs over is 2 ml/hr If it was 0.15mcg/kg/min the rate will be 3ml/kg.... It continues like this to maximum of 6ml/hr So mom is this the correct way???? I personally dont think it is
