I like the Forest harnes! When business are going better some day after covid 19 , i'm going to buy one ! Stay save and buissy my friend ! Here in germany we pray for an end of the Pandemie, to keep the Company alive....
Great to see your both going to do flying, a great way to convert money to noise for sure, and a great thing to do together, problem will be, you will both want your own plane, 2 RV6a's in the Hunickie Hanger :) hehe, good stuff indeed.
Very nice! Perfect Field goal man. No bounce and kick over. That fallers belt is cool. I like bucken Billy ray's axe 🪓 holder better though. Somehow I would cut myself the way your friends axe holders position. Great work and techniqe. Liked how you thanked the lord too! Men of skill certainly still want him to have our back! Joe Newman
I used the cut a lot fire wood when I was in my late teens. Fell a lot trees in the woods, I also played with leaning trees, even had them go the total wrong way. Didn’t matter because nothing was hurt...was 24 years ago. You had me riveted the whole time!!! Heart rate went up! Then I had to tell myself this is August, Relax!!! Great job 👏 👍👍👍
Nice shot! I always learn something from you August. I had a tree very similar to this that I could have done like this yesterday. Thank you again for all you do brother.
Used this technique ( more thickness on one end of the hinge ) today on a huge 8' across pine down in NZ with a 880 and a long bar. otherwise it would have blocked a road. Still owe you for this hint ... shame I can't post a photo. Keep up the good work August. I'm a fat bastard with a 40" waist ... do you make those harnesses in that size ?
I've never felled trees in a high stress environment. The most stress I encounter is trying to keep the tree from hanging up in the tops of nearby trees. I only cut in the woods. Flying is fun..as long as your pilot isn't a maniac lol.
At bosses farm doing some cleanup work 1990s he asked me can i drop a big old pine tree 🤔 i think i can ive watched dad & others do it . it was on a hill slop , i walked down put an Old bucket where i,m gunna try drop it . 10ms L8tr the boss was dam u hit it :) watching this 1st tree drop i had $10 bucks on the Green Lay shadow winner gee i still calculate ok 👍
I know this is the way you want to do it. But wouldn’t it be easier to set it all up with a fat hinge and pull it with your truck. Well that’s how I’d do it 👍😉
2:34 that angle really shows how much Hez takes after his dad :-) 3:00 What is going on with the tree behind you off your left shoulder , with what looks like balls of foliage throughout the branches ? 7:17 "That's the August I know" You got that right Damien , good on you :-D
wow. what a shot! The little short video doesn't do it justice at all! :) Great explanations and diagrams. * Question please? ........ where would the tree have landed if you had *not* continue to cut after the tree started to fall? thanks. cool about your 12 year old son flying. all the best.
Good looking belt , what are the benefits of this belt over say a Weaver for the price point .Weaver is 189.00 depending on where you get it from. #IT MORE FUN IF THERE ARE RISKS
Cool driving plane. I don't know if you got 1 of the video to long of a comment. You do good work. Good 1st fell, I have a bad shoulder, wear I broke collar bone and dislocated twice so I can't throw a baseball like 50%, so do you have a cheap good idea to throw a bag over limb. I seen G.O.T. with a slingshot contraption. Do you have a better way since my arms bad?
The game of winning and losing towards the end is interesting. In Japan he is called JYANKEN. Did you win on the right? In Japan it's called "choki scissors"
I don’t know if you noticed but the little evergreen balls of ivy in that tree. behind the red barn. they look like they’re floating. what are those? I’ve seen them where I live
Great video content as always but I do have a question. a home owner that's not going to be doing huge trees but there are quite a few evergreens so some of the limbs will be 5,6,7" round at best what would you recommend for a brand of chipper
