@@colinwilson7134 i am on instagram, although i don't really understand it yet. Marksgardenuk. The delivery guy manhandled it alone with a sack truck. But it took two of us to lift it and position it. Hard work.

Hi Chris. In theory you would have thought it should be possible. I imagine that actually they must just be three plants very close together. If you're intent on trying it (depending on how big they are) I'd take a saw or chainsaw to them. Mark

Hi gaynor, i don't water them in the winter. But because they are outside and have a small handfull of leaves in the grown they do recieve a little rain, which stops them drying out. I do check them to make sure they are moist but not wet. I agree with your concern about letting them freeze if very wet. It's a fine balance lol. Something i do worry about sometines. Mark

I put leaves gently into the top the rain water soaks into the crown. I don't water it in the winter

Hi Mike. And thank you. We've actually bought quite a few things through Facebook marketplace recently. A tree fern from The Palm Tree company (online), olive trees from Morrisons, cannas from home bargains, box plants from best4hedging (online). There's a great garden centre for large olive trees and some tree ferns near juntion 15 m6, I'll get the name and come back to you. Also, there's a nice walled garden centre near comberbatch in Marbury country park. So, i suppose it's all a bit of a hotch potch. Where have you already found which is good? Mark

@@MarksHouseandGardenUK sounds good, I’d be interested to hear the name of the place off the m6, there’s a place in Knutsford called grasslands nursery which I have used in the past, I also discovered the one in Marbury recently I thought it was great there, picked up a canna and a few jasmine climbers, they have a good selection of bananas there too by the looks!

Oh yes, i forgot grasslands, although i feel it has gone expensive. A nice day out though. I think I've linked that garden centre in one of the tree fern videos. I'll find it and let you know. Worth a trip.

@@MarksHouseandGardenUK I feel most places have gone expensive recently , not just garden centres 😂 I do like the nursery near marbury park though, I thought prices were good there

Yes. Until the risk of frost is gone. In reality they may survive without protection but i don't want to take the risk.

Hi Andy. Yes water BOTH inside the crown and outside the trunk. Also be patient. I have one that did nothing all last year but now has seven new fronds.

They do best in damp shady locations.
