Beer aside, is that Hogan vs Hercules Hernandez from Saturday Night Main event? If so, I was there that night. It was at the old LA Sports Arena. November '86.
Totally agree....100 different beers is ludicrous. How can you even focus on making even one beer great with such a huge selection? Finding that some breweries are killing themselves to make too many brews and forget about a core lineup. Eventually they get forgotten about.
Yeah I agree with too many offerings, I go twice a month and I almost always go with core beers. Once in awhile I'll try a new variant but they're not always home runs.
This one was freaking great, but I can’t imagine it’s easy to brew THAT many beers and have them all be awesome. You know when you go to a restaurant and the menu is HUGE and most of the food is just okay? It’s kind of like that with TH it seems.
Just stopped in Deerfield yesterday....and i should've looked for this one! I agree they have too many, i just dont pay too much attention. Snow is nice and i got some more Little Fire Oak (smoked Helles). They do seem to be trying to do a LOT, what with the booze, the coffee - canned & beans, seltzers, etc. And Deerfield needs something other than big pizzas! A cheese bomb when i am driving, no.😮 .....and some of the bottled selections are pretty good too Keep up the good work Joe!
You can easily tell if it brewed in monson from stamp. not sure they could keg it but they use to brew first time beers or special brews there years ago and it had the stamp from monson.
According to Nate himself, no beer is brewed in Monson and all the equipment has been moved to the Charlton spot. He’s been pretty active on their youtube channel and showed some of it in the new warehouse
I’ve seen a few of his videos tasting macro lagers which are really fun. It’s good to know this info, because people keep commenting about how some beer is brewed in Monson still. Thank you! 🍻
Agreed on the shit loads of variant IIPAs with fruit, there’s too much. And their lager game is really good, one of the more welcome beer lines they’ve had over the past couple years
It’d be cool if you got your hands on any of the newer “fern” series of beers they started releasing last year (silver, gold, platinum, red, black fern), all bangers in my mind. Green machine is definitely one of the best smelling beers period I’ve had in recent memory
Totally agree with Treehouse doing too many fruited beers, as someone who doesnt like many beers with adjuncts, and thinks their flagships have been a bit left behind this was a fresh drink. Still wishing green would be able to go back in time but that may just be a galaxy hop limitation.
just had this beer tonite...definitely like the old school treehouse, you can tell it's beer, but it has crazy strong green feel as well...really awesome
I agree with you... no more fruit-infused beer. I would like to add one more thing to your request, if I may: Keep the Tree house stouts coming. I think Tree House stouts are under-rated and under-reviewed. Oh... and their barley wines.
Appreciate you doing your reviews bro. I saw you review and I was literally opening the same beer Green Machine that I got through MBC. I enjoyed it it for me been a long time since I had a treehouse beer. I got 4 others to try in my sampler pack. Can wait to get into those. This beer was awsome! Cheers
Question. Can you start doing some list videos? Top 5 macros, top 5 hazy’s, etc etc? Based on things we can find in the store? Top 5 must-try Top 5 I’ll block you if you don’t like Etc etc
@@jsenigaglia totally. For me, it’s more about wading through the oodles of knowledge and videos you put out. If I want to find a grouping of recommended beers from you, I can’t possibly watch every single video on your channel every time I want dive into a new style of beer, ya know? Lol
I've had a handful of beers(8-10, likely) from them and really enjoyed all of them. King Julius, Jjjulius, etc. Surprisingly, my favorite might have been Lights On, which is a 5.6% pale ale. It was really juicy, but super balanced. Team low-abv, I guess. Cheers 🍻
Tree house recently opened a spot in Tewksbury MA, which is 20 min from my house. It’s so cool to be able to go and casually have a couple beers and a pizza after work. Even on the day before thanksgiving, which would have been a suicide mission in the old days driving out to monson, I was able to order a case online, then pull into a parking spot with no wait to have someone bring out my order. How times have changed!
I gravitate towards their core and standard IPA offerings and shy away from their super duper extra hopped and fruit added beers because I think it detracts from what makes tree house so good. I've completely stopped getting anything that is described as "extra hop variant" or "fruit added variant". Standard juice machine is better than jjjuice machine. Standard Julius is better than jjjulius. But those beers are still being bought so that's why they continue making them.
I think I’d be doing the same if I were local. It’s legit insane the amount of beer available for purchase. Throw all the spirits, canned cocktails, seltzers, and coffee and it’s like impossible to decide, ha.
@@jsenigaglia next time you get anything though, you need to ask for lagers, they're all super clean and crushable, but still flavorful and more hoppy than your standard lager options.
I moved to LA from Boston three years ago and literally not a day goes by where I don't miss or crave Tree House T_T. I always advocate for Green/Green related cousins for anyone new to Tree House because its the most well balanced out of all their selections in terms of balancing out that fruit flavors and hoppy bitterness.
Know how RU-vid shows a red line across the bottom of the video if you’ve seen it all the way through? I can never tell if I’ve seen your videos before because of the red tent. Coincidence? Or a clever way to get more views? We’ll never know
In September 2022 I did a Battle Beers with Green, Green Machine, and Juice Machine. I found Juice Machine > Green Machine > Green. The cuvées were fantastic as well 🍻
Totally agree. There have been so many times I wanted to go to Tree House then just got so overwhelmed by the menu that I just said forget it. Core beers. Every now and again sprinkle in the DDH versions of the core beers (jjjuliusss, very hazy etc). Cut the menu down by 2/3 at least. Not to mention, they now sell 6-8 week old hops with zero shame and defend it on social media.
That’s part of the issue too. Listen, 6-8 week old beer really isn’t *that* old, but people are going to want beer as fresh as possible when they’re spending their hard earned money on it. I’d be bummed to go in and want beer that was already 2 months old, but again, that’s just me. 🍻
This beer is fire 🔥. I cracked into one last night and absolutely loved it. Got another one in the beer fridge. Definitely will crack into that one over the weekend. Great review! Cheers 🍻…
@@jsenigaglia I have not. They still have some in stock, so I might head over and get some. I have two TH breweries less than an hour from my house. I go there with my oldest once in a while for some Dad-Son time.
@@jsenigaglia I picked up a 4 pack and tried it last night. I will say, that if you really like Green, you will like this even more. Green is not my favorite TH brew, I am more of a Julius fan. But this brew is a very good edition of Green. I know that you have said Green was your favorite back in the day. I remember those reviews.
These guys make really good beer but they’re diluting their brand with 5,376 versions of all their offerings. It’s too much and gimmicky. How many “versions” of Julius are they up to, six? They seem to print money so I guess that’s the reason.
