Dr Karen Coombes, from the Tree Kangaroo Rescue and Conservation Centre currently has more tree kangaroos in care than she has ever had before. Despite their elusive nature, tree kangaroos are under threat due to external pressures from human encroachment.

Wow! what an amazing, beautiful and special creatures these Tree-Kangaroos are. I still remember that moment when I saw them for the first time in the wild. I was visiting the Daintree National Park back in 2009 and saw a Bennet's Tree-Kangaroo with her young Joey in her pouch standing on a branch. It was one of those moments, where you see such an animal that defies explanation, that you will never forget it. Since that moment, I have been forever interested in the Dendrolagus genus and shared the knowledge of these amazing creatures with many others, who were baffled as well when they saw these otherworldly looking Marsupials. I hope that the habitat of these creatures will be fully protected and nothing more will be taken away, so they will flourish once again and so that our future generations have the chance to be baffled by them as well.

Such a beautiful video. I've never seen this animal before - so cuddly! Thanks for doing the work you do, guys. Always lovely to see animals being dealt with so affectionately by their minders. From a very appreciative Australian,

They are adorable and I really hope we don't lose them....we need to be more mindful of keeping all species around....they are so special and different. Love the babies...so cute the one adult telling her to leave her alone and then asking for back scratches....lol.

Oh man! How is it possible for something to be that adorable?? Wonderful video, thank you so much for sharing & for loving & caring for these beautiful creatures. I live in the US & there is a huge problem with habitat loss, & animals being hit by cars or otherwise injured or killed by humans here as well. My mother loved rescuing orphaned and/or injured animals & as I grew up I learned from her. I truly wish I were still able to work with animals in that way, being with them, I always felt so much peace & calmness. Keep up the great work you're doing, there are many of us who truly appreciate you & what you do for the animals. I'll definitely be checking out the Tree Roo Rescue pages, Tree Roos are awesome!

Teejo Teejo Hey I'm glad you enjoyed the video. I put a lot of effort into that one so I always appreciate it when someone takes something away from it. Karen who is featured in the video is a real wildlife hero and she's a true champion for the tree kangaroos. Make sure you jump on her facebook page and say hello. - Adam (Wakaleo)

Fantastic Informative video with Karen and Margit- They do such amazing work and have such big hearts for the gorgeous Tree-kangaroos. If you'd like to see some TreeRoos in the wild from the same area, I have a few videos I've shot of mum and joey etc on my RU-vid and Vimeo sites
