I am incredibly saddened. After discovering this band, and listening to them all morning, and sharing them with my friends because I'm so blown away.. to finding out shes passed years ago. It truly has broken my heart this morning. I thank her for sharing her voice with the world. I'm sure it will live on in millions of us forever. LONG LIVE ALEAH!

Aleah Stanbridge sadly passed from this life on 18th April 2016: Aleah's Partner Juha Raivio issued a short statement that Cancer was the cause of her untimely end. We still have the music that they both created ; In that respect she will always be with us all forever. R.I.P

When I listened to her voice, I loved. I was waiting for the album for some years. Then I find this video and think that the band is still going on, so good. Then... Really, it hurts because she was a great singer, her style whispering singing gives me shivers. And I thought about her husband, producing her songs, listening to her voice.... I don't know how he got this, must be terrible to lose her so soon, caused by that vile disease. Now for me this is the most doom metal of all doom metal bands. The weight of loss is the core of the production, and her husband, like a romantic poet, filling all the songs with his true suffering for a great cause, keep the voice and the memory of his loved one alive forever.

Probably one of the most beautiful, angelic melodic songs I have ever heard in my entire life. Just to find out that the one who sang this passed away 4 years ago. I grieve for her loss! The melodic sorrow of HIM, the deep and unique style of Katatonia, and the angelic voice that makes me think of Lacuna Coil... no, this is even better than that. Her music lives on forever. I would have loved to have seen more music. But I’ll cherish this instead.

I ve been a metal head since my early teens...I always felt sad to the death of a favourite artist....Cliff buton,Randy Roads,R J Dio,Lemmy and others....but when I first heard about Aleah s death it really took me a while to let it sink in....I was so eager to hearing more of her work in the future....Guess GOD needed her beautifull voice in Heaven....I really dont believe there can be another explanation for her untimely death...RIP Angel.....

I suspect that by sharing with all of us, this is one of the tools he uses to help him cope with the pain. Throughout history, the greatest art forms have been given to us by those artists who suffered the worst. I beleive that creating is the gift they are given to help them work through the grief.

Man, I was not expecting this song to be THIS damn good! Ive given it like 20 listens already. Ive been following them for a while since I am a huge Katatonia fan, but wow if the rest of the album is this good, then it may become my "surprise hit" of the year! It makes Aleah's tragic passing all the more heartbreaking. Thank God her voice is immortalized on this CD where no wretched cancer can touch it.

Awesome use of the whisper tracks - the intimacy of the breathing in between the words is stunning. I love how she accents the word "torn". The chorus remind me a bit of Katatonia. Very high class music. The older I get, the more I come to the conclusion it's true what they say - the good die young. Rest in peace, unknown lady with a charismatic voice.

There is something about a lovely, soft woman's voice with this sort of music brings in a most beautiful darkness. It's been four months and I hear about her death just now along with the album update. Now I'm terrified. I haven't listened to Trees of Eternity's songs much yet but I've always loved Aleah's vocals in Swallow the Sun's songs. Hauntingly beautiful just like in this song too. I can only imagine the pain of her loved ones as I'm grieve-stricken too even though I didn't even personally know her. This song was very beautiful, I gotta listen to more of this band... Rest in peace, sweet Aleah!

Loss for words here. How ironic this showed up in my youtube queue after watching a Katatonia video, my favorite band of all time. After decades of listening to metal, fate deemed me worthy to stumble upon this. What an honor. I am not worthy. But I humbly listen anyway and try to fathom how its possible for human beings to create such beauty. RIP Aleah.

She also made a lot of music not just trees of eternity. She made many beautiful non metal songs. You should really search them up, you won't be disappointed . Also, she sang in other metal songs that wasn't trees of eternity. Those are great too

Damn, I had no idea this vocalist died before this album was even released. I was just searching online to see if they had anything new in the works. This is one of the better discoveries that Spotify has brought to my attention. I've been listening to this album daily for months. That news is a real bummer.
