First Look Tires: Panaracer Gravelking 700x38 slick Bledr system GoPro 5 Black Bontrager Adventure Top Tube Bag Shimano XT Pedals (SPD) wolftooth bottle cage bolts
Here ; so far I did not see any downside, however you need to keep in mind couple of things - bike fits bigger than 2021 model - most of people I know went one size down if they are 56 in 2021 mode, 54 in 2022 or 2023. - reach is long most probably shortening the stem will work ( for me) - rear rotor is too close to the seat stay alignment, when you remove the wheel 99.9 percent hits the frame. - tire clearance is amazing - bolts for frame bag options or mudguards are amazing - GRX 600 components are great, - i have long inseam thats why I like to keep seat high, however head tube it long as well so my neck is OK. - this bike has longer wheelbase and high standover high than 2021 model (I Love this) - front cables are not hidden so when you buy if cables are rubbing to the head tube, tell them to rotate it. - if you are not competitive from rough terrains to fast paved roads you can perform well with the right tire. - drivetrain system made for gravel/off road if you will ride it on the road your cadence will be too high (my experience) -Good luck - end
I agree with you. we had to twist the cables from front brake caliper. now my cables are not touching to the head tube. However it prevents me to put any handlbar bag
Really looks great! I just missed out on a 2022 checkpoint SL5 and didn’t consider the checkpoint Alr 5 How are you liking it so far? And are the Tires and rims stock? TYIA )
Hey Thank you ! First I ordered an SL5 and ater I thought that for a gravel bike aliminum will be more than enough and witht ht rest of the money I can buy the acessories. Rims are stock, tires are GK slick 700x38, however I found them very unprotective but fast. I changet ti 700x45 Pirelli CInturato now. as a result I love the bike
@@burakikizler_ okay great to know, and thanks for the info. I was going to get an extra set of rims. One with GP 5000 32mm and the other with Panaracer GravelKing SK tubeless 45mm. Oh, I also like the top tube bag is that from trek?
probably you can do it. I saw many people switched to the road tires. but keep in mind gravel bike wheels' rim size is wider. thats why you need to put wider road tires. get some help with your local bike shop . if you install narrow tires, it may cause accidents
@@burakikizler_ Thank you. What do you think are the downsides of this bike? I'm looking to buy it and I'm 192cm. When I see the height of the seat post, wow I'm afraid for my neck.
