Tremors 1 and 2 are great films, but I also grew up with 3 and 4 and still think they are guilty pleasures, and actually have a lot of good things about them, I love 4 the most cause it returns to the roots of the first film, more practical effects and simple 4 graboids, 5 6 and 7 are absolutely terrible, Micheal Gross is the only redeeming aspect of them, but 1-4 I will always love
I will say 5, 6, and seven are terrible but as closest to match the best sequel the 2nd would be the 7th. despite 5 adding new variants the story wasn't as good and nor were character development the only thing Bloodlines is good for is the night scenes and African variant of the life-cycle of nightmares. A cold day in hell was just a whole roller coaster to see if Burt survives when first watching first time after that it isn't that great the only other good thing is that we find Valentine Mckee from the first movie isn't only married (information from 2nd) but has a child named Valerie Mckee (Info from 6). Shrieker island could've attracted more attention if it kept it's original title and not blurting out THE SHRIEKERS ARE BACK with it's new title. Shrieker island is still holding up as the best of the newer films of the franchise since it is different than pulling the same old "There's more than 1 and we're cutoff" plot. 7 has a familiar cast, great villian for first time since 2003 series and somewhat 2015, Shriekers are back and evolved, character development with the new characters and Burt himself with knowing the Alpha of graboids is in this movie and a huge event in Burt's legacy that I will not mention. Part 7 is in 2nd place for best sequel in Tremors 1st is the Aftershocks.
@@cornballtheone I remember before 4 came out,I thought it was either gonna be swimming shriekers or assblasters in space. While I didn't get the modern action I assumed,I got a blast from the past and some race storytelling. 5-7 tried and failed. Burt Gummer was the only reason.
tbh the new movies such as 5 and after are...ok. 1 through 4 are more survival Horror based with little bits of Action inbetween. the newer films just dont have that Classic survival Horror to them that the originals had.. the night time scenes from AfterShocks are utterly perfect imo. i grew up watching all 3 but by far AfterShocks is my fav imo. i think the Traditional Action monster hunter shouldv been a Spin Off TV series with Burt being called into multiple Locations with a Sqwad to eliminate the Creatures. while keeping the main Line Films more survival Horror based.
Well it's a lot like the resident evil franchise(games) they got more actionized because the characters got better prepared. The more Bert dealt with the more he prepped for the unexpected, so he has all kinds of gadgets and gizmos and know-how to deal with any situation that comes up.
