i think someone already commented about this, but "legend" is about tyler's grandfather, robert joseph, who died of alzhiemer's, and what tyler means by "i wish she knew you" is talking about his niece pepper, zack joseph's daughter who was born in april 11, less than a month on robert's death on march 17.

Neon gravestones is sad but it is a beautiful song with ultimately an amazing msg

i remember it was 7am, i was waiting for the bus to school and Trench just came out on Spotify. i swear to god, hearing the beginning of Chlorine with Tyler's voice suddenly kicking in and the instrumental going in deep knocked me aback in the bus. it's that beautiful sensation when you're stunned and beautiful things float around you. idk how to describe it HAHAHA

My interpretation of "Pet Cheetah" is that his pet cheetah is his music career. After it grew up, everything is going extremely fast now (popularity-wise), but he feels the need to take it slow and to think about every small issue with his creation before he releases it.

It's so crazy how varied peoples' music tastes can be and all love Twentyone Pilots. Imo Chlorine is one of the best songs on the album and The Hype is one of the weakest (but still good), and I've watched a lot of reactions and most that I've seen fall into those opinions too. But it's so cool that different people can love all of these songs for different reasons.

Morph (my favorite) is basically an existential crisis asking questions about why we're here. I have no idea what Chlorine is about (or rather I have too many ideas). As far as I can tell, Pet Cheetah is about beating writer's block, basically. And My Blood is about Tyler's grandpa dying. And underlying the album is the whole symbolism of "Trench" being an escape from the city of Dema where death is glorified. Getting out of the grasp of the evil Bishops who make neon graves, finding your bandit family and going through trench with them.
