From chilling on the green box until the sun came up to walking to the lake front. From waking up to the sound of our very own alarm clock named Mr. Bets voice/laugh to having him plug up the DJ equipment in the utility room until the cops came to shut us down! From the guys buying up the ice cream & pizza trucks to pass it out to the kids to them same guys throwing money off of our porch to the neighborhood kids. To hearing that famous knock, knock, knock and knowing it was a M.O.C. to being the only area that welcomed everybody from every neighborhood in to hang out. From hearing "get out that hole" to being searched when the police cornered us in from all angles during the sweeps. From being told that we needed to go in the house and doing just that without an explanation or any kind of rebuttal because we knew just what it was. From chilling in the basketball court to cleaning it up and decorating it for Jackie Johnson's wedding. From going to Mrs. Maggie green candy truck to eating those 🔥🔥🔥🔥 fish sandwiches off of the cart. From going to the new store just to end up walking to the meat market anyway. From going to the Abraham Lincoln Center to having to stand back as the camera crews filmed an episode of a show or movie clips. From having parties in our crib after Screaming Wheels or going to the Fort. Maaaaaaannnnnn..... New Town had it's good, bad and ugly but it was home and we did have some good times and created some great memories.
