The lag on fork is caused by the pathfinding. The map is extremely large and when you climb you move to an unexpected position which causes the nextbot to recalculate the entire path again which takes a while on such a large map.
Beatrun doesn't have any custom thirdperson animations for the parkour moves, so he was mantling/vaulting his way out of the hole, but from my perspective he was just floating up.
Wait Nexbots got revived in Gmod? I remember that old trend back in maybe 2013 or 2014 something like that, but one most popular nextbot called "Sanic". That old meme or MLG thing, then some people wanted to make there own Nexbots with bad drawings of popular characters and different names just like Sanic. It was really popular but it became a dead trend maybe somewhere in 2016, not sure tho. Now it got revived and then it will be a dead trend yet again.
its like people reviving "Press F to Pay Respects" and "I think Halo is a pretty cool guy. Eh kills aleins and doesnt afraid of anything." edit: add quotation marks
For the basic sanic type nextbots (the png bots), I suggest turning more often. The nextbot takes time to turn which gives you the time to run, while if it's moving in a straight line it can quickly build momentum and catch up to you.
7:21 Isn't that the boss from that Sven Coop map, I think it was called "Huey" or something? 26:33 Jedi Academy duels in a nutshell; when you fight against the one player who knows how abuse the Strong swings to deal massive damage and instakill you. EDIT: So weird coming back to this video after playing gm_fork as a mod map in H3VR (Supply Raid mod gamemode) and seeing the pre-baked source engine lighting versus the day-night lighting the modder got working in Unity. 18:06 That's true in H3VR somewhat as the game notably hangs when it's spawning something for the first time during a play session which sometimes let's me know a Sosig dropped something in Supply Raid.
@@MatthewT394 yes side step works in multiplayer but overdrive / interact key + lmb does not work. Also he paid for the addon its just a waste of money if he doesn't use it
I recently had a bad experience with the mall map, I was playing it in VR and I was walking across a catwalk and saw a door at the end of it close and I no-clipped it of there really fast, I got it on camera but I haven't posted it
