This video was SO helpful, thank you! I couldn't wrap my head around why a weak glute med would cause the pelvis to elevate -- the animation at the end was so clarifying.

Is trendelenburg under diagnosed? I am certain my daughter has this but her 2 different therapists and doctors don’t seem to know much about this condition?

I definitely have this. Today I got results from my MRI. Labral tear and abductor tear.

How are you doing , did you need to have Hip Surgery? Thank you

@@debbiec6216 I had hip surgery Nov. 21, 2023. I am doing good. I did not have an abductor tear. Labral tear and terrible bursitis they cleaned up. The hip isn't the same as the other but the constant pain I had in my buttock is gone. The doc says it all could come back though. I hope it doesn't.

@@cocatfan glad you are doing better. At this time, I think I might have an tear or it's bursitis or arthritis . I am trying to figure out which one will show any one of these . XRay , Ct Scan or MRI . I will make an appointment to see a Orthopedic Specialist. I had 10 days of PT and nothing approved . Thank you for responding back , you were a huge help.

Hi , i just want to know how to name what side of trendelurnberg. If right gluteus medius weakness and the contralateral hip drops. What side of trendelurnberg is positive? Is it the +Right hip trendelurnberg sign or +Left hip trendelurnberg were the hip drops? Thanks

Hard to understand what you wrote. I reread it. My understanding is that if your weakness is on the right side, you will lurch towards your left side. I think that in and of itself is the T sign. If that makes sense.

@@cocatfan Thank you for your explanation. I have Trendelenburg Gait . Because my Right side lurch towards the left side . My question is , Hope you can answer my question , Does it take surgery to fix it , that's all I want to know . Thank you .
