I will be watching this and cutting mine, am a beginner, thank you, I can't wait to be a pro, that's why am not just relying on what my boss teaches me but I also watch others from RU-vid here.
You re one in a millions as u were able to provide answers to everyone questions. You even still answered questions that had already been answered. God bless you richly.
Also you mentioned you wouldn’t have used 3 inches instead of 2.5 inches for the neck width. Does that affect the two inches you went in by before drawing the dart??
It’s customized but a UK size 6/8. The horizontal measurements were measured and are not standard, so you can do the same and measure whoever you’d be making the dress for. From the shoulder to whatever point for each horizontal measurement.
I wouldn’t say it’s constant, it all depends on how wide you want it to be, you could reduce it slightly or even make it bigger. But if you’re going for this exact width you can make it 10 inches wider.
Main fabric, although I always prefer adding stay to my linen, because it rumples sometimes and I wouldn’t want that on my main fabric. But I compromised on this and used the stay on the main fabric.
Is it just me or the recreation is way better than the inspiration 😩❤ But on your next video please be slower 😢 and more explanatory for those of us that are beginners Also that neck dart is still not very clear to me To summarize it all you did a very fantastic and clean work 😌👍
I used only crepe, cotton linen and hairstay. The cotton linen and the hairstay helped with the thickness, trimming out the excess allowance on the sides after sewing helped bring out the shape/make it stand better.

It’s okay if it’ll give you the kind of thickness you’re looking for, no rules to sewing, totally depends on you, it would still stand eitherways if you follow the rest of the video. You’re welcome!
