The Action Walking Godzilla was my literal very first exposure to Godzilla *ever*. For my 4th birthday in 1995, I wanted a "walking, roaring dinosaur", which my parents couldn't find... but they DID find the Trendmasters Action Walking Godzilla, sparking an obsession that has endured to this day nearly three decades later. This toy will forever hold a place in my heart for being my formal introduction to the King of the Monsters.

This is one of the first Godzilla toys I ever saw. My brother had it as a kid (along with a super cool collection of other trend masters figures). Hell of a blast from the past. Hadn't thought about that toy in a while but here we are. Core memory

I owned both of these when they came out. Be careful on those Ghidorah wings - the tabs to plug in are really, really delicate.

Lol the Hannibal Lecter reference and the epic toy battles at the end were great. I recently bought the Ghidorah that was broken for dirt cheap but refurbished it. It's a pretty awesome looking figure and reminds me so much of my childhood

I wished I was born in the to and collect trendmasters toys! At least I grew up in the 2000s with bandai USA godzilla merch... Playmates has some good and bad figures but their monsterverse toys are their best godzilla figures IMO

This was my first ever trendmasters (Godzilla) figures (I owned their Gumby figures as a kid lol) and he sits on my self watching over my collection. I actually love this guy. Hope someday I can find the Ghidorah. Maybe G-fest this year lol. I’m so glad you covered such an personally important part of my collection.

really sort of is a shame we didnt get that first walking godzilla. for as rare as they were, i always loved whenever trendmasters made godzilla more accurate to his actual proportions at the time, what with the thicker neck and bulkier body. the one we normally get (like with the walking godzilla we ACTUALLY got) is iconic and very distinctly trendmasters, but that nitpicking part of me is still screaming whenever i see him. those rarer ones were proportioned more like the millenium series or the IDW rulers of earth comics with zilla (or hell, even the comic that wouldve come with it) so it's obviously not 100% accurate to heisei era godzilla, and its still got distinct trendmasters traits like the solid red eyes or great big snarling sculpt (leaning into IDW in that aspect), but god be damned if its not beautiful all the same.

I wasn’t around for the 90’s or trendmasters, but I’ve fallen in love for the 90’s Godzilla (not the American one though) through reruns and tv specials. And I must say, I have now seen a new side of Godzilla merchandise through this channel.

I had the Ghidorah briefly. The walking mechanism was broken but it could still roar. It was my "to scale" Ghidorah for my Godzilla vinyls, but I needed the money and wasn't especially attached to it.

Somehow, these toys as used in this video remind me of a small E.T. windup toy that me and my friend used to love having walk off a table. I have no idea why, but there's something satisfying about watching walking toys walk right off of things. Especially when they have that bootleg toy kiosk at a mall. You know the ones I'm talking about.

These are super cool! They’re remarkably similar to some rubbery walking figures that were made by Bandai that were only released in Japan called the Power Walk Godzilla, I believe. Similar size and walking mechanics, too though I think they could also be remote controlled. That line actually did also have a SpaceGodzilla at least going off of an old Japanese commercial for them I saw online, alongside a King Ghidorah, a Destoroyah, and Burning Godzilla (besides the normal Godzilla). I think they did a Godzilla 1954 and Heisei Gamera, as well!

Dang I wish I had these when I was little I would have loved these, although yeah the original planned walking godzilla was a missed opportunity. I got the JADA remote control Godzilla and I absolutely love it and definitely playing around with it to make up for lost time lol, its a wonder what took so long for a remote control Godzilla figure to be a thing. BTW loved how Trendmasters used the Japanese poster of Godzilla vs King Ghidorah for the walking Ghidorah box.
