I just started crafting a year ago ( im 56) and I have wanted to purchase Deb's diy paint that whole time. I just purchased my first quart WOO-HOO!!! I am a recovering heroin addict ( I stopped using heroin May 10th, 2017 cold turkey).. went through a severe depression from stopping heroin for 5-6 years ago until I started crafting last November. I'm so excited to try Deb's diy paint I can't stand to wait for it to get here!!!😊
Well Debi....I think your Dad is your Hero...and I think you are your Dad's Hero...I know because I loved my Dad like that and he loved me like that...❤️❤️❤️
Your Dad chose a GORGEOUS color for his refrigerator! And yes, you are indeed blessed to have 2 Dads! Beautiful sharing of gratitude Debi. Just beautiful ❣️. FYI…miss seeing your sister on these vids…. 🙋🏼♀️😉💖
Your dad is really sweet and definitely deserving of all the attention, but I feel Bobby doesn’t get enough love. He seems like such a supportive friend!
Sweet Debi, I have the biggest smile on my face right now reliving the reveal party. What a blessing you are to this creative community. You have a very loving family who adore you. I can’t wait to see you all again. Thank you for all of the inspiration. Hugs to you all! 💕🦋
Debi on the top of your headboard where it’s black you should add a inspiring quote. Example: You are enough! Or even you are beautiful!! Incorporate the colors below!! It’s absolutely gorgeous!!
That would be a great idea however, the top of the headboard is actually an old upholstered headboard that I added on top of the old doors. The black area is velvet fabric.❤
@@DebisDesignDiary Debi what I’ve learned from watching you over the years is… where there is a will there is a way! I myself especially at the prime age of 53 know the importance of reminding ourselves of our true worth and beauty. Having it being one of the last things we see getting into the bed at night and one of the first things we see getting out of the bed is everlasting words of encouragement! I adore your boho colors but most importantly the fact of not being scared of colors. I have painted furniture and made canvas paintings of mostly pink and other vibrant colors. I’ve always known the colors we see daily plays a important role on our metal health. However my husband just retired from the USARMY the end of June this year after 20+ years. At one of his appointments for VA evaluation he told the psychiatrist that, “My wife loves pink and I don’t! However I have noticed that her painting furniture and making different works of art in vibrant colors has made a difference on my mental health. (He has unfortunately TBI and PTSD)”The psychiatrist told him that bright and vibrant colors effect our mental health. Not only for TBI and PTSD but also for depression and anxiety disorders. When people start learning to not be scared of bright vibrant colors is the day I don’t have a job and that’s a good thing! Myself I am 250% a bubblegum pink girl! I learned from you to not be scared of having vibrant colors in my home. For that I thank you from the bottom of my heart! You might not know how your presence on RU-vid has truly effected your audience in the best way possible! We sometimes guess what our worth is. I’m here to tell you, “Even on the baddest days you have helped me and my family! Your worth is everything to me!!”
I absolutely love your God living/loving soul! The message on the fence is perfect, you never know who will walk by and see it and feel the message! Your inlay is amazing, fun, inspiring and grabs the eye! I haven’t seen a project yet that wasn’t absolutely gorgeous!!!! Hold family tight and always love one another ❤
Debi…. Your vids PULL at my soul due to the art, the colors, the love for family (whether DNA, Chosen, or the Creative community). Thank you so much for sharing and the beautiful reminder, that above all else, I’m an artist and from there I seek the enjoyment of life. When I take time weekly for my soul/artistic enjoyment, and goals, your videos are a crucial ingredient. Thank you, thank you, thank you. 🎉💖🎉💖🎉💖🎉💖
Oh, Debi! I am so loving this video! Excellent content, as always! Your Dad is adorable. He did an amazing job raising you and Danielle! I know he is so proud of his girls!!!
😂 and I didn’t film it! I do love you and your family. I actually pray for you a lot because you inspire so much Debi. And your Dad learning to just go with it without questions is honestly more like we need to do with God and the way he lead’s us.
I've said it before and I'll say it again your Dad is indeed a gem! Your headboard and bed look great. Amazing how this various creativity and community all grew out from you at the center, and at the center of you is God.
I actually cried when I watched this video! Your family is so sweet. Thank you for always inspiring me to be a better person. Your faith is amazing. May the Lord bless and keep you!
Got me trying to quiet cry while at work. I also have 2 dad's and my dad that raised me is the most kindest, sweetest soul that didn't have to love me but did....even gave me his last name when I was very little. I will never be able to thank him enough or show him how much he means to me. Dad's rock!!!!!
The sisterhood that has manifested as a result of your creations and business/DIY Paint and Debi's Design Diary Brand is truly amazing and inspiring!Much love and many blessings! I am doing a Frida Kahlo theme armoire and your IOD Inlay is perfect!!!!
Tears as you shared your story about your dad raising you. He really is a sweetheart...and I don't think he likes filming himself doing stuff 🤣🤣🤣The inlays are pretty cool and your headboard turned out beautifully. The ladies sure did look like they enjoyed their time with you and it was very productive. Your niece put on a really nice spread. Love that the inlays are inspired by you and your Mexican heritage. Going to look up your video of My Two Dads...
So happy for you Debi to see a snapshot of what you've been working towards for the last several months. It seems like it was everything you had hoped and prayed for. I'm expecting Vida Flora any day now in Australia, can't wait! So very sad to hear the news from Israel....praying for peace and stability. I know what this means to you and D. Love to you and the Family xx
It's so ironic that your dad only likes new things but is very frugal at the same time. There is nothing more frugal than dumpster diving and recycling. 😄
This! This is what you do! Your joy. Your love for color, animals, people, family and the Lord. Junk and vintage whatchamacallits! Sheer magic and god given talent. But the story telling is the best part. I love the honesty of failing and the struggle you have been through. It so inspires others to take a chance, live their lives with a smile and try again attitude. Nobody has a perfect life, family, career, partner or home. But you manage to put the anxiety some of us experience on the back burner. Set it to simmer and dare to make us want to dream. I love the essence of your creativity and the process you share too. 😊
"Sometimes we make plans in faith regardless of what is happening around us, knowing that we have to keep moving forward and that we have a purpose." ♥ P.S. You did it! YAY!!!
Oh Debbie …. Your hard work paid off ! I was at your Solano shop in May and I loved it then , yes it needed work but i was still thrilled to be there !! I shopped and chatted with your employee she was so nice ! And to see the changes now and all the work you did !! Wow . I wanted to go so so so. bad . Not only to be there and meet you and see your reveal but to meet the IOD sisters, Jami, and to see the shop , work and be creative ! What a dream that would have been for me !! I live in Yuma, Az which is only 3 hours away but i just couldnt afford it ;( … There will be another day ! I caught your live clip ! I was SO PROUD OF YOU 🙏🏼🙏🏼and Happy for you 🥰🥰 May God continue to Bless you and ill stop by the shop soon and take new picture’s! I loved this video 👌🏼👌🏼👍🏼
OMG girl, brought back so many memories of my sweet 'pops'...his fave line was 'insanity is running rampant'...but he helped as much as he could in my biz, trying to find crazy junk for me...LOVE IT ALL...and by the way dad, I painted my old frig with Hey Sailor...I loved it, everyone thought I was nuts.... then 2 months later the frig died...WAAAAH...love the idea of these inlays and now that I live in Florida, I am loving color...must try...thanks girl...(now I'm having a stare down with my old bed frame)...geez...
Your dad reminds me of my dad. he always builds and fixes. My brother passed away on june 14th. My dads health has declined since. I miss him working with me.
You're such a blessing, Debi! So is your dad and the rest of your family. I love the scripture reference. I can't wait to try the inlay and your painterly line, too. All of your hard work really pays off! 😘🧡🤗
Grandpa is the BEST❤ I love y’all’s story! Thanks for letting us in😍 I too had a “step father” that raised me as his own but we did not see eye to eye hardly ever🙃 what a blessing to learn your heritage! I love the headboard! Your such an inspiration and I adore your whole Team!!
Debi - just saw Made by Marley doing the screen with your in lay. I already loved your inlay but wasn't sure how to use because I didn't want it to be "in your face". The way she did it toned it down but it's still beautiful and now I know what to do!
Your beautiful story about you and your Dad is very relatable.❤ My stepdad had the biggest impact on my life, so much so that I gave my son his name.😊❤ The Lord just keeps giving and giving whatever we need, breathing new life into our dry bones and His timing is always perfect.🙏🏻❤️I am so proud of you all for the AMAZING work you did for the launch party!!!! Congrats on the inlay and now I'm sure I need it for my kitchen. 😍
What a beautiful, colorful, whimsical, inviting, and amazing world you, together with family and friends, have created at your shop. The state of the outdoor spaces seemed so daunting at the beginning, yet the transformation came together so quickly ( at least from the armchair view)! I'm sure it was a wild ride behind the scenes, but all the effort was sure worth it. The new inlay and the painterly line are the icing on the very delicious cake. Cant wait to try them all. Congratulations! ❤🎉🎉🎉❤
Oh Debi, i have the MOST decrepit-ly drab painted and huge craft cupboard in my workroom (and I won it from a local shop👏🤣) ...but you've inspired me on how I'll spruce it up! Also, I'm a sister in Christ and appreciate your witness!
My co-worker and I have made 900+ display boxes for Wee Forest Folk. Oh how I hate them, let me count the ways. There are decoupage side panels and a scroll top. After much agony, in the beginning , we have simplified the process. I roll on Elmer’s glue to the pieces for decoupage and use a brayer to adhere them. If all goes well, and sometimes it doesn’t, we spray the whole box with UV polyurethane. I feel you…..
Love the Headboard and your beautiful inlays , but most of all I love the way you add Jesus into your videos and your messages at your store. God will show you one day how many lives you impacted with your influence keep it up❤❤❤
I am matriarch of my family and my children say, and my grandchildren say I steal the show😂😂 Of course I steal the show. I am proud of it. I am all Italian I live in Massachusetts. What more can I say?😂😂😂 thank you for sharing your dad with us. I digress he has a bunch of female followers.. to me I just think he’s a very nice man just like the rest of the family I don’t alienate him away from the pack😂 have a blessed day. Your dad and I are polar opposites. I love vintage, and I am not frugal.😂
Ur dad is such an adorable guy! So sweet that u and he work so closely together especially after having lost your mom. U guys truely make happiness for so many of us watching your videos...your shop is absolutely the most creative and stunning Lil place to learn to be creative. I haven't crafted or painted in a really long time. This makes me wanna break out my hoard of diy paints and do something creative in my own home. 😊❤
Everything looks beautiful Debi! Your Dad is so cute and such a hard worker. Your whole family works hard. I am not artistic but I love watching your videos. If I still lived in California I would come by. But I am in Florida now near my Grandkids. ❤
🎉🎉🎉I’m so happy and excited for you! It looks like your event went wonderfully!!👏🏻🙌🏽😅…& everything looks so lovely, joyful & fun!!🎉🎶💖…& now you have your store & house all clean & organized & looking so creative and beautiful… What joy & peace you must be feeling!!🙏🏼🎶🙌🏽☀️….& God does turn everything into beauty!!! He’s a good good Father!!🎶👏🏻🕊️🔥🙌🏽🙏🏼💪🏼❤️Thank you for sharing your amazing journey through planning a store party/launch and then the special day!!❤
Wow, wow, wow, just AMAZING! All the work, cleaning, painting, designing, the day of your reveal. You guy's are just so talented! God Bless you and your Wonderful Family!
Dearest Debi, there is no such thing as adoption. Heaven makes babies and passes them out to people who love them. You are a magical person. Thank you for being an angel in my life.
Debi!!!!!! Omgoodness!!! Why did you pass up the opportunity to paint & remodel those doll houses. They are worth lots of money. You could have put them in your shop! I’m trying to make and paint doll furniture inspired by your videos. It would have been perfect
Hi Deb, I just watched this for the second time and enjoyed it just as much as the first ti. You are so adorable and because of your love of Jesus... we will meet someday..
Hi Ms Debi! I really admired your passions...transforming the old things beautiful. Your so much blessed by our God of a talent unimaginable. Your creations is always magical. Have always untiring days and full of energy. God blessed.
Your bed, and the store, look fantastic! And thanks for sharing some of your family history. As you know - your dad is a special guy. Can you share anything about your mom?
You have the most beautiful way of a telling a story. I’m so happy you have more time to connect audibly and visually and share your gifts with others. ❤
Oh my gosh I love your Dad makes me miss mine so much. I love this inlay. Debi we all cherish your Dad mine grew up in the depression he didn’t spend money on himself but others, there were times when he didn’t get me either.
Wow such great progress in just 2 weeks. It’s absolutely terrific that you have so much help from family members on both sides. You and Aviary are very lucky 🍀 for that. Best wishes on the remodeling.
Just love your colorful and whimsical art! You always go above and beyond like a true artist. Never just the minimum but you continue "playing." That one piece of furniture, the gorgeous blue and pink with the inlays turned out fabulous. Didn't catch the artist's name. It was a really nice balance of colors, application of the inlays and had that nice stenciled border around the doors.
OMG DEB I would absolutely LOVE to SEE u design a beautiful mini house! Ur DAD was on2 something! I have 2 girls & always wanted a unique bohemian mini house ! I can totally image mini dressers mini vases mini all ur beautiful art but mini! That would be so amazing! Just a vision idea 💓
I was so happy to be there Saturday to meet you and the others. Your shop is amazing and you are such an inspiration! I wish your dad had been there. I would've loved to get a picture with him, but I didn't get nearly enough pictures as it was. So much fun crafting to do and so little time! Family is so important and you are surely blessed with a good one.
This inlay is everything! I JUST ADORE IT! Not thst I know you personally but it is 100% you! All the color and personality! It's great to know it's your family heritage as well! I can't wait to get my hands o it and try it on some things! The video showed me a different way to do the inlay. I'm eager to try it! Great job, Debi! And your headboard looks amazing eith the different patches done!
