The mighty river Trent, especially the tidal is for many a once in a lifetime visit, a scary time if you're heading there alone with no guidance especially when it comes to what tackle to take.
Even for myself that fish's the Thames I was unsure wether to take barbel rods or carp rods, what size leads do I need, what length hook lengths should I use, boilies or pellets were just a few questions I was unsure about.
Hopefully this video will set those heading there for the first time, or even for those that have been, found themselves under-gunned and are planning a return in the near future.
It focusses on the banks of the barbel mega at the moment, Cromwell Weir and follows me and a friend who was being guided through a two day session that produced some fantastic fish.
