We spent four nights at Trentfield Farm and happened to fall on one of the hottest weekends of the year. The site is located just outside of Church Laneham Notts and the whole area is steeped in history going back several hundred years. Situated on the banks of the River Trent there have been occasions where floods have affected the area with a few notable floods including one back in November 2000 some of the effect of which can be seen in a couple of photos within the video. The site itself is a grass pitch camping and caravanning site with or without electric hook-up. There is a nicely kept facilities block which although operating to a reduced capacity due to Covid restrictions provided all the basic requirements along with a small wash room for cleaning your pots and pans. There isn't a shop on site and we couldn't find one in the villages of Laneham or Church Laneham so it is important to try to take as many essential things with you because if you run out it means a drive into neighbouring villages or towns. We had a trip out to Gainsborough which was around a 25 minute drive and found a good selection of high street, craft and speciality shops in the town. There's also a McDonalds the Thomas made use of while we were there. Overall its a nice site for tents, caravans and motorhomes if you want a nice quiet break away from it all. The staff on site were very nice and helpful and if walking is your thing you wont be disappointed, there is some great countryside surrounding the whole site
