Made a wrong turn while trying to get out of Trenton and ended up on a street with zombies chasing my car. This was 25 years ago, so I'm not surprised.
Not at all. I would say Philly mixed with Newark. Culturally it feels kinda north jersey…mostly black and Rican in that way. . And it looks like a Paterson or a Newark wit some row homes. It’s definitely not Philly or Baltimore; those areas have nice parts.
I currently live in Tampa but am from Camden . My girl in Tampa was tryna move to Trenton to work at their environment agency or whatever , and when she was about to accept the job , a few people on LinkedIn responded and said don’t work here for a couple reasons but one of them was that they had to sign a waiver saying they would 1. Shuttle to job from parking lot and 2. Not walk around at lunch or during work hours , and if they did , anything that happened to them was not on the company. Trenton bad af😂 my sister used to teach there 2, basically Camden without the close proximity to Philly
@@wayne3690 Yeah bc I just love to make up intricate stories about Trenton NJ. stfu bozo, it was the DEP in Trenton. She reached out to a few people who said the same thing, but Wayne 3690 know everything😂
@@bill4572 nice but respectfully your welcome doesn’t guarantee her safety moving alone . But mainly, the DEP just pays like shit(or at least their initial salary was shit) lol so she couldn’t afford anything decent out there
Wow! I used to live in Trenton. I now live in Florida. Thanks for driving by some of the areas of Trenton that when I was a teenager, I would walk through. On your next video, please drive by the 200 block of Olden Avenue. It would be good to see the old neighborhood again.👍🏿
15-20 yrs ago trenton had a reknown restaurant district in chambersburg south trenton some believed it was the home of the best tomatoe pie in the country. south trenton was the last nice part of trenton, i grew up there and lived there 30yrs. it'll always be home in my memory it was an awesome childhood, safe from the rest of trenton. but those places are long gone.
Trenton landlord til 1995 about. Lasted 20 years. . Worst streets walnut ave. By chambers .. passaic st hoffman av . Camden st.. mid rose. stuyvesant . Mlk blvd by the monument.. north Trenton is no joke. Sections of South Trenton is nicest part. Aint worth shit ... centre st 4 shit.. use to drive my welfare tenants up to north Trenton to buy coke first of the month.. charged $5 per ride made $50 bucks. Was like 1.5 mile wait 15 minutes .. drugs every block. Use to be 100 dealers n hookers on the boulevard (mlk blvd) 24/7 .. now its a little more under cover. . God bless Trenton peeps
It never fails. The tree streets are always the worst in these run down cities. My uncle was a cop in Yonkers years ago & said Elm St. was a nightmare. Interesting you mentioned Old Rose St. my son loves looking at abandoned railroad lines down there. 🚂
The Mayor of Atlantic City Marty Small and his wife Laquetta who is the Superintendent of Schools were both recently indicted for beating their daughter with a broom until she was unconscious. But somehow they both still have their jobs
Spent the 80s 90s and early 2000s here. The cheese steaks Was bussin. Amefikas on Stuyvesant Ave and Olegbalas, pardon my spelling. this looks like North Trenton. i rarely went to East Trenton. had a job in South Trenton at Thunder Stadium. fun times . and i got my a$$ beat by a girl in a park , i think it was at Junior 1 school(summer 1988) . i deserved it so im a better person now 😅😅😅. i never had many friends and my childhood was complicated . id never forget my step mother made me go play with other kids instead of by myself on the porch . good ole Florence Ave .. Ewing Township , NJ . 08638 . does QuickTrip still do deli sandwiches ????? Olden Avenue .
You drove down the one street I use to stay at as a kid with my stepsister.. my uncle use to own a Gus"s restaurant across from the court house back in the day. I would walk those streets at age 10+ no problem lol idk about now this was 30+ years ago
@@Amir_NassirStatistically, there is about a 0% chance of that being true. Unless your town is super tiny, like one family, and some of the family members got clean.😅
the last 10 secs of the video they show the old part of the nj state prison, thats the gate shown in the movie hurrican where denzel plays hurrican carter the legendary boxer. i remember when they filmed that scene. those prison walls are 30ft high and people still would escape from that prison twice in 2 decades.
@@samanthab1923 they fixed some stuff up most of it was the beach side but it’s like Miami on that side n raised the rent to mid 2,000s even in the hood so a lot of ppl left but it’s still dark city not as much ppl out like it used to be like a dangerous ghost town
Funny you mentioned drugs, my son has been dragging me down to Trenton looking for abandoned railroad tracks. Looks on Google Earth. As he’s watching the street scenes we could see a deal going down in a vacant bldg. using black Hefty trash bags as curtains 😮
Many parts of this country have poverty. The difference is the drugs, where all too often crime is associated with. What's the one constant you see in all of these videos?
Someone in another channels comments asked about Albany compared to Trenton. No comparison. Trenton has Camden & maybe Berlin but you’re right all those upstate cities are the same. Buffalo, Syracuse, Rochester, Utica sad
Too much pride in skin color, something they have no control over, and not enough pride in anything they do have control over. I would be embarrassed if my neighborhood looked like that. How bout a coat of paint, some basic maintenance, and mowing the lawn?
Huh? Not real leftie here but unemployment is at its lowest in 50 years, stock market has hit all time records 42 times this year. Main reason inflation has been a problem - too many dollars chasing too few goods
Best singer ever- Whitney Houston. Best rocker ever- Bruce Springsteen. New York millionaires/billionaires get mansions in North Jersey- Alpine, Saddle River, etc. The Philly wealthy get mansions in Moorestown, Cherry Hill, etc. The #1 Six Flags in the country with the biggest roller coaster. American Dream the second biggest mall in the country. Hundreds of miles of beaches- Atlantic City, Wildwood, Belmar, Seaside Heights, Point Pleasant, etc. FULL service gas stations, no getting out of your car in the heat, cold, rain or snow. I can name a lot more people and places but I'll keep it short. Now let me know what YOUR state has since you're running your mouth?
There’s drugs all throughout the city lmao the Feds are extremely active in Trenton nobody’s going to sell drugs standing outside in the open lol it’s not like Philly where cops don’t do anything
That sure is a click bait title you went down liberty street no drugs like your title says than you passed mill hill saloon where there have good food went down broad street to south Trenton I don't know Trenton has so much history to drive around any town and use that title don't know
