Tried this recipe today, doubled the measurements and for some reason when I added the dry ingredients the batter became almost like a dough so I just added more milk and it turned out delicious😋.Will definitely use this recipe again🙂
This cake is my life. We used to put cherries or cinnamon on top. Then we got really bougie and started topping with strawberries. Soooooo good! I'm glad this is a 8×8.

Followed your directions all the way through and the cake was so yummy. I did let it sit overnight with the milk mixture and whipped/ added the cream in the morning and ate it for breakfast (judge not!) The size was perfect for my small fam. Bc I was feeling myself, i made the next batch with the leftover canned milks and added 1/4 cup of brandy to the milk mixture after i removed it from heat. Yummy again. Thank you for helping me a great recipe, definitely in my rotation from now on!

I make this for Christmas every year but its so big....thank goodness a smaller option. Thanks for breaking it down...getting ready to use a heart shaped pan for this one! And left over milks will be saved for my coffee! YUMMY!
