Today's summary! Unusual guest showed up a couple times in Eleanor's pasture. Finally, we had enough, bu this time, the whole cow herd was in with Eleanor. It was time to take action, but with the surprising help from Jackie and Maya, our ranch dogs, we got it done!

@@DianaStuckert She and Jackie got it done though, but he should train her better for situations like these so he can just wait by the gate and send her out to round up and herd them in. Jackie looks like she would do good with some of that training. Both did great just acting on instinct. Maya just didn't know how to finish the job exactly.

Jackie has become a great farm dog/ livestock guardian dog/herding dog. She & Mya worked those cows & calves very well for you. I love watching herd dogs work. They are amazing.

Yes, I am sorry about the bovine's bad manners but I really enjoyed the video. The canines round up, Eleanor, and your peaceful demeanor despite being late to the party. As an older woman I can can appreciate the support the women folk give you to get the job done. Makes you calmer and gets the job done. Blessings to you and yours, including the four legged. ❤

Fastest best fix would be to run a couple lines of hot wire through there with a solar fence charger to keep it hot. Then you could take a little time replacing the whole fence.

It's cool to watch your dogs do their jobs. Jackie is guarding and knows the invaders even though they aren't predators. I've always wondered about Maya because she's a cattle herding dog among bison. She's always in the vehicles. She seems afraid of the bison. But look at her go after the cattle. And even little bullet is joining in the action.

That has to be frustrating having those bovine in your pastures. New fence in order. Mya was in her element herding those cows. Jackie is a sweetheart doing her thing.

Your little bitty pupper, can't remember his name, wanted to herd those cows so bad. 😂 I had a 2lb poodle that would run so hard with my cattle dogs. They'd put my horses anywhere i wanted them. So funny, those littles have more flight in them than most big dogs. ❤❤❤❤❤

I love Eleanor ❤ well Jackie and Maya are good cow dogs. Dusty it's sad your always having to repair others fences cause their cows mash them down. They ought to be paying you for all the consequences of damages their cows do. But also know your a good neighbor to patch up others cows mess up. Again another great video. ❤

Elenore is pretty and special in every way. Jackie and Mia worked those cattle back where they belong quickly. Even Bullet got into the fray, how cute. You and your neighbor needs to agree to fix that fencing. I think it is now a priority.

Our farm borders a golf course and the golfers cut the fence to collect golf balls. I told them to get off our land and they cursed me. Our German Shepherd (130 lb, momma's boy) put the golfers back on their side. I called the golf course manager and told him when your greens are destroyed don't call me. Fencing with neglect full neighbors can drive you crazy.

I’m just thinking about my experiences w cattle on my grand pas land, Dusty I’m glad I’m envious sir but I’m proud of you and your family and doctors…the fence is always your weakness..Your perimeter is your biggest asset..thank y’all and do you have any bison ground beef that converted to jerky..I don’t have a tooth in my head so ground jerky lol is my ticket. Let me know where I can get us some !}

When our cows got out in the neighbor’s field, I had to go out and get our cows back on our side. I fixed the fence, but the owner of the visiting animals are responsible to get their stock off of your property. The neighbor should be responsible for fixing the fence his stock broke.

Eleanor is a love. Could you not find another disabled bison to be with her? They would keep each other company. Just saying. You'd be suprised someone might have one. Or at the sale barn might find one. Dogs were great. I worry abot eleanor by herself dogs, coyotes attacking her.

Mia is not a bison dog, but she can handle her own when it comes to a traditional cow! Of course Jackie did great!! Eleanor is such a sweetie! That fence line sure needs a lot of work. The neighbor should help pitch in with the cost.
