Tressa Working Susan Garrett's Recallers Week 1 Day 7 

Thank you for posting this! I have been in "Home School the Dog" and thought I was the only one having some difficulty with hand and treat mechanics with the recall game. I'm glad I am not the only one! Your demonstration reassured me I wasn't getting it so wrong. Watching the joy of your dog during the training reminds me of the value of doing the games.

This is the second time through the course for us and it is just as fun if not more fun this time around, it looks like you guys are doing GREAT and having a LOT of fun! The cookies in the corner is our favorite game. Kathy with Liz/Breeze/Cricket

@nicolebodea Yes, I do Shape with the clicker, but Susan really wanted us to work without the clicker for the "Recall" series. I did bring out the clicker later to further solidify the RZ on the right sionce that was clearly the harder side for both of us. She understands both sides equally now and can move between them fluidly and without question as to which side is correct. Thanks for commenting!

@CavalierHandler - All lot of Obedience people (no offense, just the easiest way to group people) have a problem with rewarding the right side so much... and yes, if you don't take the time to train it right, it can get confusing for the dog. If trained properly, the dog will leran to get to RZ on the side that is presented by the handler until the handler gives a change cue (a cross). Thus eliminating the blind cross you see Tressa do in the video. I Need to reinforce the Right RZ more :)

i do like the way this builds drive! have you done "Crate Games" too? I have a dog that stresses down and i think this would be helpful for him. does Susan have a dvd or is this online only? will check out her site and see.

Where is the online course i would love to take it with my dog, but i cannot seem to find an online course.

Hi! I got to see you run Zelda & Tressa at the La Jolla trial last month & spoke with you briefly (I have the crazy little dog). What was your overall thoughts on the Recallers class. The next round is opening soon & I'm considering it, but wondering if I should put my resources (both time & cost) there or focus elsewhere (doing a lot of CU now per your suggestion @ the trial). Thanks!
