Treviso (2024) is an medieval city in the Veneto Region, in the north of Italy. The city is located at the river Sile and fortified with a city wall and a castle. At the north site of the city walls there is a beautiful city gate: the Porta San Tomasso from 1518. Piazza dei Signori is the social hart of the town and there stands the town hall from the 13th century Palazzo dei Trecento, the San Francesco Church and the Palazzo della Prefettura. Treviso has 85,000 citizens and a small airport.
