Speaking to WKYC's Dave Chudowsky at Spring Training, Cleveland Indians pitcher Trevor Bauer elaborated on comments he made to Sports Illustrated regarding relationships.
@That 540i M Sport did she ask for sodomizing until bleeding while unconscious from strangulation? You are what is wrong with America, I pray you have a daughter because I know someone who is single, Trevor.
@@jorge_em1148 If Bauer inflicted the injuries as the accuser described he sure as hell broke the law. If someone asks you to beat the hell out of them and you do it, you STILL can be charged with battery and if you kill someone that asked to be killed you can be charged with minimum manslaughter and possibly third degree murder. Unless Bauer's attorney can convince the judge/jury that Trev did not cause the injuries in the photos or any other physical evidence he could easily get convicted of some criminal charge and he 100% will shoveling a pile of cash (possibly $1M +) her way which I'm sure he could give a ratsass about. He just wants to remain employed and not given a huge 100 game + suspension whcih could happen even if no criminal charges. And the fact he pissed the Commish off with the whole sticky stuff thing will not help. Dude is in a big hole right about now..
@@jaysantos536 Trevor broke the law and may have committed _aggravated rape_ but not in the way you described. Technically permission to be hit or assaulted is 100% a legal defense. The legal term is _consent._ Consent to sex works just the same, and here it is the issue of rough sex. Bauer's attorney doesn't have to convince a court, judge, or jury of anything - that falls within the realms of *innocent until proven guilty* and the prosecution holds the *burden of proof* in criminal trials to forbear evidence for conviction _beyond a reasonable doubt._ Burden of proof _never_ falls upon the defense. The issue and complaint against Bauer is he committed acts beyond what she consented to, specifically strikes to the face and punches to her privates. That is a _cause of action_ to charge for _aggravated sexual assault,_ and a judge or jury will not look to kindly upon those facts. You have a twisted perception of the law and against due process. BAUER AT THIS POINT WOULD EASILY ACCEPT HEFTY FINE PLUS 100 GAME SUSPENSION versus never ever pitching on the mound again, a virtual ban from baseball, and lengthy prison time, which is a very real possibility he's facing!!! (And he knows it.) By now fine n suspension is a best case scenario for Trevor! And I'm pretty sure commissioner Rob Manfred could care less about the sticky tack right now in regards to Bauer.. completely out of this realm for Bauer's dead serious situation
@@shaheedharun445 "permission to be hit or assaulted is 100% a legal defense." Not when serious INJURIES occur similar to what the photos show. I fully understand the legal differences between "assault" and "battery". Battery is NEVER covered by "consent". And the fact that there hasn't been any updates on Bauer means he will very likely be charged with at least one felony count and if that happens, he can say goodbye yo his baseball career AD he will likely forfeit a big chunk of his 2021 contract and the rest will be void. Dude royally effed up.
I agree with him 100% Anyone who's gone through a period of intense commitment for themselves such as military training, medical school, etc. understand. Be honest, live your life, those who want to be a part of it will, those who don't won't.
I totally respect the guy, he doesn't conform to the politically correct thought police and is not a cliche ridden predictable talking head athlete, he is also a professional completely devoted to his craft, I would love him on my team.
Well he's up front about what he's looking for and what he's available for. To think someone who their career is heavily traveling from February to at least end of September and doesn't have time for a committed relationship or family life would not want to lead someone on and have an open relationship as a bad thing is a bit of a reach. I don't think his dating rules are either a good or a bad thing. It's his life and he's honest from day one what to expect. Any woman he gets with has a choice and isn't that the good thing?
@Un Dead learn English, dumbass. I can care less if some ignorant little shit in his mom's basement believes me or not. Get off the internet and work on your homework, kid.
@@fatfreddyscat5767 sadly won’t go to jail even if all of its true just a settlement. Hopefully he won’t play in the mlb at all in the future but we’ll see
Trevor is absolutely correct!!! The press is trying to make an issue out of a perfectly positive way to view life! Leave the best pitcher in baseball alone.
@@nj-1008 Well in regards to the original comment, the woman had the choice to drive 4 hours, and did it twice after getting the "shit kicked out of her" once. Don't talk just to talk.
@@GoogleAccount-ku4yu Already read them. I didn't say anything about whether she was into it, professor. I quoted him saying "I don't want to hurt anyone". And it turned out he wanted to hurt someone. So genius your way back down in your seat and stfu.
Trevor is a hero for putting a stop to this serial extortioner, she "got the bag" from those players in SD. He's a "hero" that saved potential future athlete victims, there's a NDA out there with the Padre pitcher Clevinger, that why she didn't want to talk about him.
This is totally fine and he’s being upfront. Just because it’s not the norm of dating and finding love and what comes with it not everybody’s up for that nor is it wrong to be this way.
Wow, he took it to the extreme this time didn't he! He has this "that's me, take it or leave it" attitude. This time it was a "you asked for it" deal...
@@chunkypancake1018 I could care less. I've allegedly been accused of many things. My comment was based off of how the young man took care of his business at that time concerning women. If he's done anything wrong its between him the person he wronged and the law. This doesn't change anything about how I feel about the way he handled modern women 2 yrs ago.
It's simple! It's his life , his choice now u wants to live it. So he does! He loves being a pitcher and wants to be the best player he can! In more ways then one lol.
Woah cant wait to see how this plays out. Since seeing him fire that ball into the stands my guess he has self control problems. I’ m prognosticating bad things for Trev and the Dodjahz
Where he messed up is calling it rules of DATING. Theyre essentially just the rules to fucking him...and if youre a young, good looking, rich, and a damn good pitcher, you SHOULD play the field and be totally honest about it. Good on you Trev.
So what are they trying to get at? Are they legit trying to persuade him into having a different opinion? Like wtf he has the right do what he wants in his personal time..
@@kamarispreadstheword So if it was a one time thing and she got freaked out I could understand where she is coming from..but when you come back multiple times you know what your getting into and you probably enjoy it.. which is coo coo for cocoa puffs but people are weird man. This sexual assault stuff is a slippery slope without video evidence or an actual witness that can confirm they were there..anyone can ruin someone's life and reputation.
I hope the Reds can resign this man for the rest of his career. He fits the attitude of the city of Cincinnati and everything we believe in and the first thing we all agree in the most is honesty. Trevor will be a very happy man in Cincinnati, we do not allow the press to influence us about anyone. Cincinnati is Reds country and we support all Reds players. If the player is right we support him and if the player is wrong we forgive them and move on.
This feels like the media creating something out of nothing, which is somewhat understandable tbh because getting anything remotely salacious from an MLB player is rare.
Bauer "I'm just being BRUTALLY honest. If you are not interested in me giving you black eyes and concussions then I don't know what to say. Just being honest."
@@Tr1Dylan "I like it rough" doesn't translate to "fuck me the in the ass and beat the shit out of me after you choke me unconscious." don't know why anyone is defending this guy
@@crg0448 maybe she liked him? maybe he said it would be different? who knows. just because you don't know doesn't mean you should blame the victim. it takes a special kind of sick person to want to do that to someone they claim to care about. and even if everything involved was consensual, as a public figure and multimillionaire, he is inarguably a total moron for doing it. I might say he is getting what he deserved.
It’s not that people hate his honesty (on this issue), people just hate his policy as abnormal as it is. For the record, I’m fine with him and stand behind his logical reasoning, but I can see why people are disappointed/mad with his view (they simply disagree).
And this showed up while looking for Acuna getting drilled on the first pitch of a Marlins game? I guess because he’s in the news…but, really? Dating advice from Trevor Bauer? Does RU-vid’s algorithm really need to suggest that…now? I don’t think Bauer would classify as a “good date,” in my book.
@@RCmack Bro is fucked dawg, Best case scenario he’s suspended rest of the year Settles out of court, does the sexual encounters rehab the woman wanted him to do and he’s back next year as the disgraced baseball player that everyone will just look at as meh once he opts out or contract is over
