Jaeger Sports student Trevor Bauer of the UCLA Bruins in the pulldown phase of his long toss program. Trevor hits the mid-to-upper '90s on the radar gun.
Dayum... kid's got a monster arm! This dude is a rising Junior at UCLA and he already has a really bright future ahead of him. Can't wait to see what he's got next season!!
i could touch 80 lol and the kid does have talent i watched him pitch last night at that urban invatational and he was blowin his fastball passed guys and he has two really good offspeed his change is nice and his curveball is deadly if he keeps it up he could be a 1st round pick
Nah. Most decent high school players can do it. That's where you learn it first. When you do it correctly, it really helps to loosen your arm and get it warmed up.
I used to be able to throw lower 90s but I could only pitch one inning and my arm would hurt for a week. Was told to get Tommy John's surgery but I didn't feel like going through all of that. Really incredible how these guys can throw upper 90s and beyond and do it every 5 days for 100 pitches.
Imagine if this kid ever makes it in the majors. He's going to take data and make himself one of the best pitchers in the league and wind up making 40+ million a year with one of the greatest teams in the league.
You know the woman accusing him also slept with Tatis, right? Not justifying what Bauer did but simply pointing out she slept with Tatis too but you don't hear the league publicizing that.
@@Tourszs17 I wasn't discussing the legality of what Bauer did; simply pointed out that crazy woman slept with Tatis too. Both her and Bauer are crazy.
We know the kid. Know the family. Know the workout. Results matter. Who is to judge what "good mechanics" are - there is no consensus. No two pitchers EVER threw exactly the same. His mechanics, or better yet, his movement patterns, are how he stays efficient. I know most instructors stress mechanics (easy to teach that way), but whose mechanics? Once a pitcher knows the basics, repeating mechanics breed mechanical movements. Athleticism trumps choreography in athletics every day.
Its funny because the arm does the least amount to produce velocity. Its all about your legs and the ability to drive and reach triple extension before front foot strike. Which creates hip to shoulder separation (which is where you create 80% of your velocity. And then you must get front leg stabilization and extension. "The arm is just along for the ride" Tim Lincecum.
peter peter Triple Extension doesn’t create hip to shoulder separation. And 3x puts your lower back at risk because it forces your pelvis to tilt forward.
Also your arm is very important in throwing. In fact, people who come back from Tommy John surgery throw harder thanks to the shoulder work they have to go through during rehab, WHICH IS A LOT. Legs are obviously the real driving force but the upper body is just a important. Pitching isnt a lower body movement it's a full body movement. I made the mistake of just training my lower half and not my upper body, this resulted in me tearing my ucl cause my upper body wasnt strong enough to match the lower. Watch any big leaguer and you'll see how strong their upper bodies are
werd im startling the program when my school starts in a couple of weeks,it gives me a great workout program, throwing one, nutrition,mechanics,,ect... What do u think of the program??
