Trevor is the nicest guy ever I used to live downstairs from him in park slope Brooklyn and he has the most badass music collection and great to talk about music we really got on the whole old doo wop groups, the guy is just great and very unique
Mr. Bungle is my all-time favorite band. I can't believe I'm just discovering this episode now. I really hope we get another Bungle album now that they've started playing a few shows.
Trey and Trevor had another band called Scourge which I saw in Humboldt at a house party in '87. Incredible. If only they would release the demo recordings.
@@GLB223 I would actually as far as to say he’s massively underrated. Like most folks outside of the mainstream don’t know who Trevor Dunn is, and that’s a shame given how prolific and interesting he is.
Trevor was the most unassuming of the better known musicians I've spoken with - really totally untouched by his fame. Check out his group Endangered Blood ~ amazing trad jazz with a weird avant pop twist, very cool stuff.
samples in order are mr. bungle - retrovertigo mr. Bungle - platypus trio convulsant - liver colored dew mr. bungle - travolta/quote unquote mr bungle - vanity fair the dreamers - ulwatu madlove - thread and vanity fair again
nice knowledge bud! you missed one though. 'Love Is A Fist" is playing in the background right after they talk about pettiford. and also for like half a second at the very end of the video. Trevor Dunn is a legend!
man, this guy is listening to some diverse music. I'm a bass player myself and I'd love to be on Trevor's level one day. dat Ars Moriendi bass line, hnnnnnnnnnnnnnng.
Trevor, been a big fan since the first Mr. Bungle album.. you have amazed and tickled my brain with your bass lines and production work. Thank you VERY much!
I remember seeing this guy pissing into the french fry fryer at Marsugies night club back in the early 90's in San Jose, Ca when Mr. Bungle played there. Right before he did it a friend at mine who worked at the club said "These guys are going to be super famous". Glad it wasn't from pissing on french fries.
@@amoeba hes a legend the same with anyone in mr.bungle and Faith no more. But Mike top tier vocalist of rock lol up there with chris Cornell and many more lol
@filthee1977 Thanks so much..!! Appreciate it.. I've actually never heard this record(California) only the first record. I'm listening to some clips of California online right now and I'm diggin' what I've heard so far.. I I used to see them a lot here in the Bay Area back in the 90's.. Great band.. Thanks again..!!
Great finds..!! Love that Oscar Pettiford LP.. awesome record..! And does anyone know the name of the song and artist at the end of this video? Sounds like Mike Patton singing..
