TREVOR FINLAY’s parents would often tell the story about putting him in front of the stereo where Mick Jagger’s voice would keep him company. They were also responsible for putting TREVOR in guitar lessons at the age of 9, taking him to his first rock concert at the age of 12, and bringing him to his first blues jam at the age of 15. So yeah, you could say that TREVOR is all their fault.
FINLAY heard his calling loud and clear and stuck with playing music, drawing from the influence of the Rolling Stones and Allman Brothers. He’s performed at nightclubs and festivals all over the world opening for the likes of Kid Rock, James Brown, Johnny Winter, Booker T and the MG’s and John Hiatt just to name a few.
FINLAY has independently released 6 studio albums to date, with the newest being “GET INTO IT” - a self-produced 13 all-original-song album that features some musical heavyweights as well as the “power, gravity and rasp” (Craig Havighurst, Music City Roots) of TREVOR’s vocals and guitar playing. Most recently, “POOR LUCILLE” and “GET INTO IT” have been featured on network TV shows “All Rise” and “Stumptown”.
I think the organizers of the Harrisburg Music Festival said it best - “You are either a fan or you haven’t heard him yet.”
