Hanuman is a hindu god with supernatural powers, he is extremely strong and fearless, and can make himself as large as a 10 story building or as small as a cat, but he is always at the service of others. When he was younger he saw the sun in the sky and thought it was a giant mango. So he jumped for it, and as he flew through space to try and reach his "mango" he was struck down by Indra, the god of heaven. When Hanuman fell to the floor he forgot about all of his powers. The Hanuman Chalisa is about Hanuman recalling his inner greatness. The Hanuman Chalisa speaks to all, to remember our inner greatness, where we are all one with our maintainer.

What is he saying about Hannuman? I can tell you this much...I was just in a trance for the whole song while working and didn't even know it. Beautiful. Love his voice.
*The story behind this composition called Hanuman Chalisa* (Hanuman is the epitome of devotion to God so much so that God bestowed His powers upon him and he is revered as God in Hinduism. Chalisa means 'fourty'. So Hanuman chalisa means fourty verses in praise of Hanuman.) So it was the during 16 th century A.D. when Europe was conquering the whole planet under it's colonialism and India already had the presence of Portuguese and Dutch traders on it's land and English were about to make their entry.. at that time India was being ruled by the emperor Akbar (a famous Muslim ruler). So Tulsidas, the composer of this work and one of the most popular saint-poet of Hinduism was Akbar's contemporary. Now Akbar was fond of having the company of the most genius of the men of his time in his court. So as the fame of Tulsidas grew due to his devotion towards Lord Ram, Akbar sent him invitation for joining his court as a court-poet or something like that. But Tulsidas kindly refused him saying that he is a servant to Lord Ram and only serves His(God's) court and cannot entertain any earthly king. Hearing that Akbar forcibly called Tulsidas and asked him if that is the case, then let him also see Lord Ram. He asked Tulsidas to call his Lord so that he can also see Him. But of course, it wasn't possible. God only give His vision to the most holy of the men and not anyone curious. Akbar got angered and threw Tulsidas behind the bars. Now in the jail, Tulsidas started calling upon the name of Hanuman, the monkey companion of Lord Ram who is not only Ram's greatest of the devotees but also known for his incredible valour and magical strength. Here note one thing that Hanuman is known to be an immortal power ie. he is always present on Earth though only they can see who get blessed by him. (Just like in the Holy Bible of Christians at Matthew 16:28 Jesus says, "Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom.") So Tulsidas started calling Hanuman for protection. It is said that every day he used to compose one couplet in the praise of Hanuman and sing it all day. Then next day he used to compose another couplet.. this way, on the 40th day the palace of Akbar was raided by huge numbers of monkeys. They created such a riot that everyone seemed clueless. Here know one thing that since Hanuman himself is a monkey so this unusual episode of monkey raids naturally made Akbar to link it with Tulsidas. He called him and asked for his response on this situation. Tulsidas said that he has been calling for help to Hanuman by writing and singing a couplet a day for past forty days of captivity. Akbar realised that Tulsidas was indeed a saint of the highest order and that God do respond to His pure devotees. He apologized and set him free. Monkey army disappeared as miraculously as they had shown. So this is how this collection of 40 verses which we know by the name of Hanuman Chalisa came into existence. This piece of prayer is as important and powerful in Hinduism as the rosary in Christianity. When in trouble, fear grips a person, he starts singing this Hanuman Chalisa at high voice. It immediately gives a sence of inner strength, confidence and the courage to face the situation. Hanuman is a living God for us. He do responds when we call him sincerely. Now just listen to this Chalisa on loop and see if you feel that positive strength within you? Surely you would 👍🌺💙 If you enjoy it, then simply search 'Hanuman Chalisa' on search bar and you can listen to countless different singers singing it. Enjoy🙏🌺💙
This is the Hanuman Chalisa- it's not a song and as Hindus we chant and read the chalisa - we particularly do this at the time of death as Indian Hindus, to give peace to the soul. You may not find this asa song as we don't sing it - but chant it and read it.
@nutcase1995 how is it less meaning full? he doesnt change for anyone. he is true to his roots . just cause he isnt doing too many ganesha hymns... doesnt mean he isnt true.
@zionstoymaker i also like how he sings the entire song in another language but people want to know what it means to get the full value of the song thats why they want the translation. personally im trying just to find the lyrics in the origional language, if you know where i can find them id appriciate it.
I know Trevor is very very spiritual, but is he a practicing buddhist? I kinda get the feeling that he is given the themes and inspiration/message in his music
