Let me try, Gardner Minshew is 4' tall with below average athletic ability. Dude throws ducks all the time. He is already at his ceiling with nowhere to go from here. Trevor on the other hand can only go up as gets better because he has ALL the tools. Prototypical size, athleticism, arm talent etc.etc. ALSO Gardner didn't come into the league until he was 24, Trevor was 20. You might not think that would be a really big deal but there is a lot of growth in men in their early 20s. Filling out frame, confidence, speed, power, critical thinking skills....Gardner Minshew can't hold T Laws jockstrap and you will see the difference in their stats this year and I will come back and see if it soaked in🤡

We have to look at this from a long term POV....there is some upside. Most QB's don't hit their groove until year 4 or 5. The deal doesn't kick in till year 5/6. We'll know if it's a bad deal the first year the new deal starts.

We are at the beginning of the end...When I played organized football (2004-2011) at least Half of the quarterbacks in the NFL were decent and can have a hall of fame day any day of the week..When I see Brock Purdy I think bruh is this for real???

How DUMB is this commentator? because the team is in Jax Shad Kahn is a hillbilly? No he did not deserve #1 qb in league money...BUT....he will PROBABLY put together some really good seasons...and this contract will look "affordable" in a few years. I have been a big trevor critic but I also think he has almost unlimited upside IF he ever puts it together. YES Jags took a risk but it is one that they are willing to live with.

I have been a Jags fan since they were just an idea and this is a terrible deal. I get it the deal is supposed to work at actually around 42 mill a year. I still wouldn’t have done it. I hope I am wrong. Payton Manning he is not. Andrew Luck he is not. Elite QB he is not.

It’s also hard to keep your seasoned vets happy when you keep starting over at QB. They want money but they also want a chip. They won’t sign with you or they’ll leave, whichever applies.
