That’s not nfl’s fault that’s the team! All nfl do is raise cap or base salary, if your team paying bums that’s their fault. there’s a reason why they never won a superbowl along side browns for paying Deshaun Watson who was 4 years removed from football
Dalvin Cook played 7 seasons for the Vikings, Jets and Ravens. He had 1,349 carries for 6,207 yards, 236 catches for 1,872 yards and scored 52 touchdowns. He was selected to play in 4 Pro Bowls.. The man is sitting at home without a team, you pay a QB with a losing record. Make it make sense?
All mobile QBs have to beg for a contract, not to mention he only has 1 playoff win in his career 🤷🏾♂️🤷🏾♂️ If I’m an NFL owner, I have no problem paying my quarterback to PLAY quarterback, not a RB with passing abilities 🤷🏾♂️
@vinobeans9542 171 career TD's vs 83 career interceptions. I dunno around 61% completion rate and 89 passer rating. He'd be a serviceable backup, today... I stand by my original comment.
I’m not a Trevor fan but I don’t agree. He’s had some bad head coaching and bad offensive personnel before Doug became the head coach. No one could win with that offensive roster they had. You can’t blame Trevor for that.
Trevor lawrence has more turnovers than anyone else since HE entered the league, including Josh Allen. In that same time Josh Allen has 128 TD's and Lawrence has 69 TD's. Any other bright ideas?
T Law gotta be better but it’s a lot of stuff that go into those stats. Damn near half those losses came in his rookie season with Urban Meyer and all that BS.
@@123shoshan the head coach that kicked his kicker and stay behind in cities on away games to get his dick wet had nothing to do with them being 3-14????? 😒
@@123shoshanyou’re fucking bugging, urban had a lot to do with the organization being a shithole that yr and I’m an eagles fan so I have zero legs in this race. wtf 😂
Now I will say trev need to get better but shady trippin when he said the whole Clemson team was great lol him and Travis were the team lmao that’s why they couldn’t repeat they didn’t have enough also saying he was over hyped that’s why he got that starting role is crazy cause I believe it was Kelly Bryant who was there he was supposed to be the shit and Trevor out played him in practice and spring game
@@samatardavidbndphotofilm idc if they went once or 500 times. The point is, you’re wrong. They haven’t been irrelevant “for ever”. There was a 3-4 year run where they were one of the better teams in the AFC 😂😂
I was just talking about contracts few days ago. Rookie contracts hurt great players like Justin Jefferson because it's 4 years and by that 3rd year you want a guaranteed long term contract so you sign even though the team that drafted you is horrible. In this case Trevor is benefiting from being a QB. This shouldn't even be talked about Trevor is so average that we truly forget he was drafted first overall. I'm not seeing the generational talent. Remember what they said about him before he was drafted?
If Trevor Lawrence was black he would've been cut. Look how they did Cam Newton who was actually elite on trash teams. Cam has never had a good offensive line or Wide receivers
He was called the most complete prospect since Luck. I will never forget that bc as a colts fan that irritated me. We were about as bad as the jags were maybe even worse and he turned us around overnight. Lawrence is not that caliber of a player. He does not elevate his teammates the way the great QBs do. He’s good enough but without everything else around him you’re looking at 9-8 every year
1st year under Urban was a throw away year. He turns the ball over too much. He has to be accountable for the picks and the fumbles. I wouldn’t have paid him yet. This yr he would have had to prove it. 3rd yr in this system this yr no reason to think he shouldn’t be much better this season!
Can't even really count Trevor's first year considering they had Urban Meyer as the coach and he was fucking around. That was dysfunction at its finest. Since then, he has still underachieved. Bro is crazy talented but just hasn't been able to translate that to wins. If he isn't able to get them to the playoffs this year and win at least a game, at some point in time you gotta try to find an answer somewhere. We already know they ain't getting past KC but they should be able to compete with everybody else in the AFC
I never thought Tebow was going to the next level and kill, some guys have that college effect where they KILL in college but it won’t translate to the next level.
its very to me how the media controls how we view a player. Stafford was in a much better situation and struggled he was a "Free stafford Lions wasting his career". Trevor had Urban Myers who is a scandal king from kicking the kicker to sticking his fingers in women panties while married. Doug Marrone who had one lucky SB year and hasnt done shit sense. Trevor is an example if i was a promising QB im picking my spot. I would say I rather fall 30 picks to get picked up by a SF than to be number one and go to Jags. if Tlaw was in SF we are saying this dude is Luck level talent.
I was kinda off with him when he said he didn't really care about winning or something along those lines. He doesn't strike me as a guy that wants it. Also ive seen too many videos of him not being able to hit a net 5-10 yards away.
Does it negate what he is saying about Lawrence? Lawrence has been overrated and has not performed up to the standards he was hyped to be as a number 1 draft pick.
If ppl will listen to Trent dilfer and whatever of the brothers that played for Washington or Chris Collingsworth....least he was actually amazin in his prime like boomer
Nah TLaw is nice he not a scrub he just plays on a sorry ass team it’s gonna take time. But shady really said he was surrounded by talent in high school. That man was his high school team
Tebow was never ever considered as good as a passer as Trevor is. He was always praised for his intangibles and athleticism… he could just throw also. Don’t even try to put Trevor in the same class as Tebow. Trevor is miles ahead of Tebow ever was. And even now, Trevor can still throw it, just needs pieces around him.
2 ways to look at it No excuses he hasn’t played as well as the hype told us. Circumstantially he had urban Meyer year 1 and is still the QB of one of the worst franchises in sports.
Tebow was not overrated. If he got the love of the organization like Lamar Jackson did then he would've been just as good. Imagine if Lamar had coaches that's didn't want him and tried to embarrass them with play calls especially as a rookie or 2nd year player and he preservers Thur it and take a team to the playoffs when the team had not even sniffed playoffs in a decade come in shady at the very least Tebow was a hell of a football player! Even if you dont like him at Quarterback he was a hell of a problem on the field just like you and had to accounted for
Never been a Tebow fan but to act like he wasn't one of the best college football players of all time is a joke. Shady was a really good player but never a great one.
Say what you want about Lawrence in the pros, but to say he wasn’t a good college player and his success was due to the help he had at Clemson is just a dumb thing to say lol
All but like 3-5 QB are overrated and not worthy of their contracts. Mahomes the only QB in the league that's shown he deserves his contract. No other QB has shown he can carry any cast he has to wins
Id said once ill say it again what weapons do have please tell me and im not even a jags fan but this take is crazy he can throw the ball all day but it dont matter if no one can get open or catch it
Kirk, Ingram at te, Ridley, Zay Jones made it with the raiders, and you can add Marvin jones jr who constantly had 70 catches and over 800 yards as a slot or WR2 as a pro be for joining JAX.
Have they forgot that before he got there they were 1-15 and I don’t want to hear about Joe burrow he has the best wr core in the league by far and in Clemson Trevor was putting passes on the money to them wrs
He had a great run last year .. even with no standout stars on his side. He's actually trending up .. u guys just hating. Not everyone is gonna be pat mahomes.
I don’t like Trevor at all but nfl players don’t see anything besides the numbers Trevor Lawrence didn’t get a new contract where it goes in effect next season he got an extension So he has 2 more years left on his current deal and then the contract numbers kick in So basically got a 7 year 300 million deal Around 40 million a year If they waiting 2 years and he actually did ball out the contract would be over 60 million a year So in 2 years this will be a steal and he isn’t going to be a top 5 highest paid by then.
