I absolutely loved this! The character pairing was an excellent choice, and they played off each other wonderfully. Always nice to see the new side of a character, too! I’d never take Trevor as one who gets mad, but it works so well here. Amazing work!
Another banger audio story Lemmy! Both Trevor and Elizabeth are some of the most underused characters in the Thomas universe, and throwing them in together is genius. I especially love how tasteful the moral is handled that there was no such thing as “The Good Old Days” because every era has a great amount of good as well as a great amount of bad mixed in - that's a message a lot more people in the world should learn to comprehend.
Aww thank you so much Thomas, that means a lot! They both have a lot of potential, I'd like to see them in more stuff. Especially Trevor who is perpetually lonely and no one seems to address it lol. I'm glad you liked the morals here, I like to think Trevor's a very kind and open minded person, and this story is kind of about him realizing that. He doesn't have to think like an 1860s engine just because he was built then. Skarloey and Rheneas are similar in that regard. Elizabeth is still in the middle period where she's old enough that she kinda takes pride in it, but young enough that she hasn't learned not to give a damn haha
We love our childhood, and that is the good old days, friends seeing friends, and playing. But as time passes our good old days remind us, somethings are timeless. It is a pity, that Steam Boat Willie and Winnie The Pooh are being turned into a dark horror series. But the old days can and will be with the future every generation. I plan to be a influence to the kids of the future as a toy maker.
Elizabeth the sassy truck, doesn’t she ever learn? But I love the pairing you gave to her and Trevor. To make Trevor realize he is happier in the present than in his past 😊. Excellent video Lemmy 👍🏻.
@@MasterOfTheLemons I liked how Trevor mentioned to Elizabeth that he's basically a traction engine in holy service working for the church. some people believe that the Rev Awdry might have intended his steam engine characters to represent Christianity. until Trevor brought up religion I didn't know that Edward's old friend had any religious faith to speak of
Ok but deadass, I've been shipping Elizabeth and Trevor together for years! The two would've worked together before Trevor and her were put out of action and the two would've found love again as vehicles at someone's wedding. I have yet to flesh out that idea with a stream of others to take care of first but it's so lovely seeing how you handled putting the two together.
The pairing of Elizabeth and Trevor was something I didn’t expect but am interested nonetheless! In the end Trevor learns that “The Good Old Days” are gone but each era has its good and bad times and that’s ok (at least that’s how I see it). Trevor and Elizabeth both have very different view points on how they see the world which I find interesting
Hey MasterOfTheLemons! 🍋 I just watched your video "Trevor's Visitor," and I have to say it's a fantastic piece of storytelling! The character dynamics between Trevor and the visitor were so well done, and it added a unique layer to Trevor's character. Your storytelling skills and attention to detail are truly commendable. As I work on my own Fan Made Series, "The Adventures of the Steam Team," on my RU-vid channel, TheGreatOAnimationStudios, your content has been an inspiration. Your ability to bring depth and emotion to the characters motivates me to enhance the storytelling in my own series. Keep up the excellent work, and I look forward to more of your compelling narratives!
Seeing Elizabeth and Trevor paired up is a fun watch! I also love seeing the different mirror angles of them being around children. Elizabeth is the reflection of Trevor's old days when society had to be more strict and dignified, especially for children from the 18th century, while Trevor is more easygoing with kids and loves nothing more than to give them fun rides around the orchard or listen to their entertaining imaginations. If gullane entertainment had a bigger budget back than, surely this would be the highlight episode of S6. I'm not saying that HIT Entertainments dealership would be canon, I'm just saying that Britt or Christopher Awdry should've showed the real potential this show had to Gullane, HIT Entertainment, Nitrogen, and so on. This episode really shows the difference in personality of the steamed road vehicles. One that's cautious and kind, while the other is to sassy to be patient. I also love the dynamic at the beginning with Thomas, knowing that he had found Elizabeth whilst making his delivery to Brendam Docks on Edward's Branch Line, than it comes full-circle with Edward meeting Elizabeth stating that "he hasn't seen a vehicle like her in decades or during my hayday of being the furness passenger engine". Overall, another great Trevor episode!
Such a sad fact, strict rules were not meant for kids. Nor was just being groomed to be the next inherited of a position that was already picked for them. Somethings of the good old days should not be washed away, but as long as children can be happy and we can make a better life for them and trust me we are. Then hope will never be gone.
i love this! one small, purely constuctive, criticim; (10:36) trevor could never blow a fuse, for he does not have any (as far as i'm awere, i just imagine him not having anything electric) other than that i do not have anything but complements! i love your videos, your character pairing and voice acting!
First thought I had, Trevor is indeed not electric. Toby: Whoosh! Toby are you going senile?! I said Trevor wasn't electric. But as I was saying yes a Fuseible plug was what I thought he ment too. Though Trevor would need to go to the works in that case.
this is an excellent story! I've recently started listening to your stories. I just finished long live the iron horse and WOW. Do you allow adaptions/remakes of your stories?
@@MasterOfTheLemons you're honestly one of my favorite Thomas content creators. As soon as I get the chance I'm adapting as many of your stories as I can. Probably starting with this one
