Highlights from Ohio State RB Trey Sermon's 254 total yards against Clemson in the 2021 Sugar Bowl. Sermon had 31 carries for 193 yards and a touchdown, and also caught 4 passes for 61 yards in the Buckeyes' 49-28 win.
He plays with real heart and jubilation. You've gotta be happy for the kid, and truly grateful he chose to come to Columbus. He's made the most of it and then some. I don't think anyone could realistically imagine OSU is where they are now with any other current back leading the backfield charge, even if they were all healthy.
Josh can continue to block for Trey after they both get drafted by the Ravens. As a matter of fact, Josh can block for Trey and JK Dobbins. They can have a nice Buckeye reunion in Baltimore this year.🤣🤣
@@victorious592 I feel you... but I’m going to cut Kirby some slack.. at on point Fromm was a potential 1st rd pick.. multi year starter... tough to just bench that guy
@Fred Wright lmao yeah, okay. Go look at all the draft selections from Ohio State the past 20 years. Gtfo with that garbage. Sounds like someone’s salty af after having their team’s ass handed to em on a silver platter lmao
Exactly just think how big and physical he gone be by the time he's a junior and has more years in the weight room... he gone be a short piece of bedrock impossible to bring down LOL
If only they could have gotten paid last year. I feel fields would have stuck around another year if he got 3 million like Quinn Ewers just got. A lot of these kids don't want to pass up the chance to earn a few million their rookie season after all that hard work, now that they can earn a few million or close to at college, it may relieve some of that desire to leave early.
He was plagued with injuries and sharing time, he never really got into his full stride. The same thing early at Ohio State when he shared time with Teague, once he got all the carries he absolutely punished defenses. The same happened with JK Dobbins split carries with Mike Weber, he never really got into the groove until he got bulk of the carries or all of them. As a former RB myself, sharing carries with another player always throws off your momentum and feel for the game. My opinion anyways
You can TELL by looking at Clemson's defense they didn't have a clue because venerable couldn't steal signals and relay audibles in time! NO WONDER DABO WAS PISSED ABOUT THE 6 GAMES!
Clemson was struggling to get lined up on time in defense! I read that Ohio St. was snapping the ball when Clemson’s defense was still getting their adjustments from Brent Venables which caused a lot of confusion on Clemson’s defense.
@@southfieldtrill9690 All that I know is that Dabo Swinney brought this butt whoopin they received from Ohio State on himself with him disrespecting Ohio State by ranking them #11.
I know Oklahoma is feeling like a stepping stone now for letting this beast of a back go! Early in the year I was missing jk and Elliot...wow I'm glad this monster woke up in time for the bowl games!!! 2014 Elliot Flashback!!!
Dont know why 11 people would dislike this video but I would take Sermon over Etienne. I think Najee Harris is the #1 but Sermon makes a damn good argument. Really wish Sermon didnt get hurt in the Alabama game though. Would have been nice to see him do this against them. Then there would be no questions.
Chickenshit call by the ref on that last play. Almost never will you see a face mask called on the ball carrier, however much he jams and grips into the grill of a would-be tackler, and never EVER when both players engage in it, which is the only way this abused DB managed to get Sermon down. I even recall when an irate district attorney, prolly a grad of the losing team, threatened to bring an assault case against FSU's terrifying RB Greg Jones for savaging some overmatched defender with what looked more like a punch than a stiff arm, but it didn't cause the officiating crew to do a thing, though everybody had to be thinking WTF!!! when it actually happened. This was a mercy call.
Lot of holding not being called and also poor tackling, poor tackling angles..allowing this RB some good gains.. ..I'm just saying he not doing nothing special any other RB could do with those circumstances
Nah he's running with a mindset right now that 3/4 of backs in college football don't run with...... hell over half the pros dont run with. If he keeps it rolling he'll be tough for any team to bottle up. Have you ever ran the football on a consistent basis? If you have then you should know just by watching that he's running with an attitude and confidence.
