Trey songz was the last true R and B 'Star'. And were talking about like 2007 - 2012! There's hasn't been a male or female r and b artist who is a star, and had mainstream success with true r and b music, without needing a rap verse etc

Your opinion is valid except Drake doesn't deserve the classification of an R&B singer, vocals simply not strong enough. Plus he started with rapping and mainly still raps.
This is obviously a vocal warm up, I don't understand why people are reacting to this when there are at least 4 that I know of Acapella performances from him on RU-vid. One is a six song performance and he sounds fantastic, him and a five piece live instrument band accompanying.
I want some or the drugs your taking, I love Trey Songz but hes no where near R Kelly in either category. Treys Catalog cant touch Chris Brown Usher let alone R Kelly. R Kelly's voice is good enough to win a show like The Voice, Trey Songz may not even get selected it he went on the voice. Trey Songz can sing without a doubt but hes nowhere near being a great vocalist
@@shotbychris517 he has a similar style in terms of the type of songz they make, but Trey cant hold a candle to R Kelly vocally or Catalog wise. R Kelly is the King of R&B, Trey was great for his era but his Catalog isnt even in the same class as R Kellys. Treys Catalog cant touch Chris Browns are Ushers so what makes you think it's the closest to R Kelly's, if you want to say style I can give you that but that's it.
