I didn't grow up with a xbox or a ps3, i grew up on the wii, and cod bo only had kino, no five and no dead ops arcade, so the only cod zombies I played was wii kino, i dumped probably easily over 1000 hr on kino wii, and this just brings me back to nostalgia days.
What’s crazy is I started playing zombies in Wii after playing it at my friends house on Xbox 360 so the mystery box lighting was still visible to see even on Xbox or PS3 You just had to really pay attention to the lighting. Also I’m not sure if it’s a glitch or not but one time back in 2011 I was playing kino and one of the nova crawlers was walking on two feet and rather then the usual crawl. they’re the same size as the regular zombies. It was awesome and creepy and I still tell the story to this day. Keep playing the Wii version of Kino and you’ll might run into him. I think it’s happens in high rounds after 20 if I remember Also samathas teddy bear holdings Bowie knife was very bad ass and I always told people that about the Wii zombies but no one never believed me lol
0:20 in, during the early days of being a kid and not having internet on the 360 me and a close friend played quite a bit. We found increasing the brightness in game on the tv along with the contrast to max during the pause menu you can quite if the box is downstairs. Definitely not to this degree, intresting videos as I have too many hours as a kid into this specific map. I love seeing new content on these old games, good work.
I can vividly recall me always checking the box right there in spawn on console and you can see it, it’s not just on the wii, same thing with the thunder gun reload, on the earlier versions of bo1, this was all possible
0:21 This was also the case in the xbox 360 version, last time i saw it was in 2015-16, you can see the light from the box. When i got into zombies in 2022 again i plaued the PC version and you cant see the box
The thunder gun reload is also random. I played on ps3 but I distinctly remember that every so often the game would let me reload it. Not sure why so maybe it was originally supposed to be that way and they kept it in the wii version but didn’t fully remove it from others?
not sure if someone else has said it, but you can easily check for the box without buying that door on all consoles and pc by just standing at the upstairs door and seeing if it glows or not
on the balcony where the box should be if you stand on that spot where the zombies go underneath you can shoot the floor and kill the zombies underneath you

If you look carefully on console you can see the box if it's in that firs bottom room, but only if you stand back from the window. I often enough mistake the box for being there but when it is there you can definitely tell.
i loved black ops on the wii was just a shame that if you DCd mid game, if you messaged the person they wouldnt see the message until the game was over
oh man, I had to play this for years before getting a gaming pc and I can tell you how frustrating it was. It's so buggy that you die in the most nonsense ways
I actually remember playing black ops on the wii. But I also played it on ps3. If I remember correctly. There's the door that connects the two link pads and there's an electric trap. But I remember me dolphin diving on top of those doors that open. I don't have a wii so I can't confirm that... But I remember doing something like that and all the zombies pile up underneath you.
you could check to see the box from spawn if you were playing on a computer monitor on xbox or playstation. most people were playing on CRTs or early 720p flat screens

kino der toten on the wii was my first game and map I ever made to round 100 and I let myself go down at 115 because my hands hurt so much with only a thunder gun and a crossbow.
Maybe I never got the thunderous enough but I could've swore you can always reload the thunder gun whenever but I played the other night and was so confused why it wouldn't reload. Thanks for the confirmation in this video lol
I never understood why they went with a silver shiny colt 1911 on B01, though it feels like a classic and it belongs in B01, it would hit different if the 1911 was a regular black like WAW and B02 for zombies. Or how about how would BO2 feel with a silvet 1911
You can reload the thunder gun manually on the console version too. Just do the thunder gun ee in campaign and it lets you do it in zombies. Also you can check for the box on console too just jump when looking out the window
Total cap lol. The manual reload used to be on original release of black ops across all platforms, Then they patched it (apart from wii), But only on zombies.. You could still do it on the campaign easter egg.
