The more interesting thing would be taking some of these "garbage" knock off pedals and making something useful with several of them, as most complaints are along the lines of "Yeah, it's okay but lacks [whatever,] which you could fix with another pairing. Bonus: People looking up Amz bargains will find yo channel.

Going to be doing more Tri parallel mixer videos as my love for the parallel sounds predates my even getting into pedals (my electronic days), but it’ll be a bit as I have around 10 videos I’m trying to finish and upload…. I’m the sort of creator who starts more things than I finish and I’m trying to fix that 😅
Cool video, I thought this awesome pedal could have been just slightly cooler if they added an expression pedal jack. I do a parallel set up with OD and Fuzz with a volume pedal behind the fuzz so I can blend it in and out as I choose. It would have been cool if they just built something like that into the circuit.
@8:20 in this rare case, making it technically more complicated will make the end result seem less complicated. I'm about to buy one of these from a guy off of FB marketplace when he gets back from vacation, hopefully the amount of new cables won't be too pricey, but ya I'm excited! I have a big pedalboard, gonna use one channel for my 4 modulation pedals, one for my 3 delays, and one for my 4 reverbs, hopefully when stacking all these things, that'll be my best bet. I don't think combining my mods or combining my verbs gets too lost in the sauce the way I have em set up, but combining a couple mods WITH a couple verbs is where I start to get too mushy, so I'm thinking this is my solution :)
@@skepticalbystander you might find a different video of mine helpful, Klon Sandwich (thumbnail has Alf on it) and consider using preamps etc. in that video I use one (well several) of the wish Klon clones as a post dirt preamp. In your case I would think about using them strategically post mods and possibly mid way through your verbs as those are both effects that tend to do the tone suck. A super nice thing about the tri parallel mixer, aside from making parallel stuff possible, is the EQ and send/recieve knobs so you can play with your gain staging a bit
@BGBSATX I actually don't have an issue with tone suck thankfully on either of my two setups :) it's just a loss of clarity, cuz while I don't push my spacey warbley effects with too heavy of settings, it's also not subtle either, so stacking them is the only place I run into clarity issues because of the settings multiplying. I also don't have room on my pedalboard unless I get a second tier added on (which I do want to do), my board is insanely tight fitted. I'm lucky I can do without my looper pedal that's the same size of the parallel mixer, so my looper will have to go on the ground off to the side, I don't use it a whole lot anyway. I'm a death metal guy, so I use pretty high gain distortion, but 95% of the time, it's from my Crate BV300H, so I rarely use drive pedals, the distortion on that head is glorious, though I do have a BB+ Preamp pedal that is always on, it's way up front after my wah and my octave pedal. The way I use my fx loop, there's not a whole lot of wiggle room for moving around drives before and after things, most everything is in my fx loop where I find drives don't like to be :/
The nice thing about the tpm is you can just cut off the channel that is running a delay if you drop a bad note into it. Mistake? What mistake? rofl. Realistically, you could just hit the bypass on the delay but if you're stacking delays, they could both be in the same loop. Then shutting off that channel would be useful. Thanks for the video.

I’ll have to check them out! As time’s moved on I’ve gotten much less concerned about playing any particular style and just doing what sounds good to me/what moves me… but now I’m worried I’ve moved into an amorphous space where I have trouble characterizing what I do for marketing purposes (my EP, Li-Fi, is suffering from this greatly) when it comes to describing my music in a way that would interest people, so if there’s an artist I could relate my sound to it would be super helpful. Also, fun fact, I was kind of lazy with this video, the settings are the same across all parts of it, I’m just playing differently to coax out other sounds.
That’s actually on the to do list with my Heavy Metal clone, Metal Zone and Berhinger Super Fuzz. I did do something like this back with my rig built around the Saturnworks parallel 4, but that was before I had a YT channel. I may be looking at doing a line of videos just talking about doing parallel xyz.
@@BGBSATX yeah the idea of mixing BIG ANGY FUZZ sounds that lack note definition or clarity with a more articulate OD or distortion is really cool. Add a 3rd distortion with a real hissy high end and it could make some real cool tonal opportunities. Oscar actually just bought a Wren and Cuff Pickle Pie B fuzz which has a dry blend. So he's playing his (newly modded) Rat (that sounds sick btw) in front of it, and setting the blend to about 50% gives him super huge bass fuzz sounds with proper attack, high end, and pick bite from the Rat, properly mixed instead of the signals headbutting each other.
@@thegrasshopperliesheavy man, you both changed your boards considerably like RIGHT after I posted that video, lol. I guess especially with the dry blend on the Tri Parallel Mixer you could send all of those dirts into a pre-amp like that BBE and get some really good t o a n out of it
