I ended up with Tri Pointe instead of David weekley in Mckinney. David really does have the wow factor but I just got more with my money (also david weekley model homes have 250k of design choices added so of course it is great). The home with Tri Pointe is about 3450 sqft on a 60' lot for the same price as david's 3050 sqft on a 50' lot. But I agree the cost transparency is a big plus for me. Also after pulling my earnest deposit from David Weekley they were very sour and made some unprofessional remarks. I'm happy to work with tri pointe as I've also heard tons of good about them as well. So heres to a good time with the whole process and beyond

Hi there! new subscriber! can you talk about the process from beginning to end on buying a new build. By this I mean what you need to put down for builders to start building your house and how to be eligible for incentives if you just started building, when you must give a down payment and so on. Hi Zak.. I am planning to buy a Tri Pointe Home. Their preferred lender Tri Pointe Connect is offering good deal and Tri Pointe is buying down the interest rate as well. Any thoughts on this Lender, should I go ahead with them? Anything I have to be careful about?

I’ve had good experiences with them and so have my clients. As always just make sure you read through the fee sheet and ask questions. Good luck with you new home. Don’t forget to get it inspected before closing.

I wish you had covered how does this builder compares with others, regarding quality of construction (i.e. foundation type, etc)

Sorry about that. Will have to do an update with that info. But generally foundation is going to be post tension, at least in DFW. Construction quality in my experience with them has been good. They are a solid mid tier builder I think here in DFW from my experience.
