Tri-Rail Express AM Rush from Boca Raton to Downtown Miami Central (7.3.24)

Tri-Rail started its Express Train service between Miami and West Palm Beach on Monday, July 1st so today (Wednesday) was my turn to test it out. Stops on the Express are West Palm Beach, Boca Raton, Fort Lauderdale Airport, Metrorail Transfer and Downtown Miami Central
Video is of each of the stations on the trip, both the stops and the ones that we raced through. We rolled at a good clip until we left Fort Lauderdale Airport. That's where the train had to slow down due to the regular local Tri-Rail train (P607) ahead of us that was scheduled to be 18 minutes ahead but had PTC issues on the trip so we had to travel at slower than normal speeds.
My train (X301) left Boca Raton on time (6:55a) and even with the delays en route arrived in Downtown Miami 3 minutes late at 8:08am. Total trip time of 1hr 13 min from Boca to Miami during AM rush hour? Can't beat that at all.

I took my videos specifically of the platforms for trains going the other direction so I didn't see the boarding/alighting on my train. I wanted to get full view of the stations as the train raced through each station instead of just the roof view if I was on the platform side. That being said, there were a good amount of people at Boca Raton (the first stop after West Palm Beach) where I got on and when I disembarked at Downtown Miami, there a good amount of people also coming off the train. The area around my seat in my car on the top level on the southbound trip wasn't that crowded but on the northbound trip it was crowded like the normal PM rush hour trips.

strange that they stop at the airport and not downtown. I was hoping it would copy the stopping pattern of the Amtrak trains

In my opinion, it should stop in Broward County twice - at Cypress Creek and Hollywood - not the Fort Lauderdale Airport. This is afterall supposed to be a commuter express train to and from Miami. Commuters aren't in a rush to get to an airport. Cypress Creek is a major office employment center north of downtown.
