The Pit Barrel makes me look like THE cook!!! Tri-tip, chicken and Thanksgiving turkey all better than I ever expected!!! Best cooker ever!

My first cook of a tri-tip (Pit Barrel Cooker) with Pit and Game seasoning. Added a few pieces of hickory (just a few, since anticipated cook time was so short) until internal temp reached 120-125 deg. Pulled out of cooker--- 30 minutes cook time . . . sliced . . . tasted . . . tender, juicy, smokey goodness . Family raved! Noah, you da man!

WoW! My brother always said how much he enjoyed tri tips. I'll be ordering my PBS within the next week or so and after that video, tri tips will be the first to go in! Excellent video thanks for the lesson!

Just noticed something peculiar about this video. The PBC is located outdoors at the beginning of the cook and then it's indoors (garage perhaps?) at the end.

In the video, it states that the tri tip will be done in approx. 35-40 minutes. Does it require additional time if you could several tri tips (5-8) at once?

I usually smoke my tri tips with oak or mesquite and it usually takes 40-45 at 300-350° mins and I rest it for about 10-15 they always come out perfect

I definitely want to get one of these.. I can't wait.. I have a question though, why is it better to hang your meat, rather than use the provided grill rack?

if you put 3 or 4 tri tips will the time of cooking change from 35 min. with 2 tri tips

Love the videos. I’ve just taken delivery of my PBC, they took a little longer than expected to reach Australia. If I can find a piece of tri tip I am definitely giving it a crack. Some advice, I know you’re not a professional videographer (neither am I), but PLEASE check your editing before posting, it really lets your videos down. iMovie makes it really easy to look like a pro

I know you said 35-40 min but, at what temperature you recommend the PBC? and what temperature for tri tip? Great video, just got my PBC.

Color look great! Cooking 2 tri tips and 4 racks of ribs today. Was wondering your video of you putting on the meat was outside on the grass. When you took them off it seemed like you were in a garage with the pit barrel on cement. 2 different videos? Your voice was echoing too. Haha

How do I get rid of the dirty smoke taste from the unlit coals. Always ashed my coals over which made clean heat but sense the pbc requires a different way of lighting my food smells and taste like chemicals. Using kingsford original.
