I did this drill with my u10's team and it wasn't easy to keep their attention at first. However this drill has paid off in matches, it has unconsciously given them different passing movements which is great to watch in games. Keep up the great work 👍
Appreciate you sharing! It can take a bit GK time for the players to grasp the drill, but so rewarding when you see it in the game. Thanks again for sharing, good luck on with your team!
Welcome, I hope that you will have a training exercise for receiving and passing skills for the buds category under 12 years old and the importance of receiving the ball with the appropriate foot to pass and the empty space, the same models, but in different and interesting ways for the buds
Have you got any drills that is competitive and like a game, fun but also informative. It seems my kids get bored with this drill as there isn't competition or fun involved?
Of course. Working on loads of drills to upload soon! What age do you coach? I mainly use this drill for some ball work at the start of a session. Just a quick 5-7 minutes of fast passing to get the touch ready to play! 😁
KS Performance okay that’s where I may be going wrong then. I train U12s but they’re at beginner level. I do this drill for 20 mins. I struggle to find competitive game like drills to get them intrigued
Yeah I’ve used this drill with u13, but again, only briefly at the start of a training session. More drills will be uploaded soon, hopefully they will be helpful for you and your team!
I typically use 10-15 yards for the triangle. If you’re just using the first two rotations, a smaller triangle is a great challenge for the players to be precise with the passing. The larger sizes are good for the variations that include timing of the runs/passes!
