Yeah Romans used to say they was sons of Mars. But later they adopted Jupiter as their main god. After that they passed through some various religious movements, like the monotheistic Cult of Sol Invictus. And then they adopted Christianity. From that point to today, Romans became sheeps among the Italians who, today, rule the peninsula. The Era of the Kings is over. A new Republic was founded. Now its the time for a new Caesar.

I don't know why people is so obsessed with Warhammer 40k. That game made entirely wrong. First of all: the "Imperium of Man", despite all its latins names, its mostly portrait as a gothic german thing. Germans are not Latins. Rome was and still is a Latin city. Not germanic. Not american. Not nordic. Not asian. Not african. Latin, Italic. If they really want to rewrite history is such low quality contents, we should leave that thing where it is. Not to mention the fact that in every damn fantasy or sci-fi opera made until now kingdoms and kings are always portrait as "good guys" while empires and emperors are portrait as "evil villain". That's clearly the anglo-german influence and propaganda. Those who have come from mere little tribes can not understand (culturally) the greatness of the Roman empire. After all what they see at the end of the day is just their lack of culture, history, military proud and might, the same idea of power. So what they have done? They have too the Roman empire, stripped it from its Latin/Italic values and points and tried to stick over it some damn anglo-germanic "culture". It's not a mystery why the Imperium of Man looks like made by a bunch of retards. And why even in the game its always in crisis, rotten and puttified after few wars. Rome would have been way more effective than the Imperium of Man in neutralizing, obliterating and vanquish for ever every threat to their power. Reality is that these anglo-germans are always scared from everything except the most obviously dangerous things. What a simple people. 😒
@@St6mm it passed 1200 years from the foundation of Rome and the fall of the Western Roman Empire. The Eastern part lasted for 1000 more years. And it happened just because the "pesky germans" become millions. Not just a tribe of 50 people. Moreover, most of the problems came from economy, plagues and christianity.
