In CD test, for NCC soil no C-value bcz of drained condition but in same test for OCC soil why C-value exist. pls explain. Is this bcz its already consolidated and their will be very less consolidation almost negligible.

OCC will have some strength due to preconsolidation even at 0 normal stress therefore it will not pass through origin but in case of NCC it will behave like a slurry(if efectv strees=0) therefore it will pass through origin

sir i hv a doubt. is there any possibility of pore water pressure to be zero if there is water in voids. i mean in drained test we can say excess pore water pressure would be zero, not pore water pressure.(hydrostatic pore water pressure exsist always)
