For someone who claims no formal education, Mama is extremely wise and very, very intelligent. All the participants are very clever and really make some fabulous observations. ♥️ I loved this video. Great fun! They have a Nickel Carnival in my town each summer for kids and one of the most popular games is to run across a two metre long vat filled with cornstarch mixed with water. The kids giggle like mad because it feels cold and odd but also because they don't sink into it. 😄

This experience makes sense to Mustafa not all of that food tasting. Invite him to the ones that lean more towards physical or intellectual experiences. And maybe start making him miniature plates of food if he continues the tasting.

When I attended school in Germany, I turned the Science class down. Watching this video makes me regret it now. Mehboob is getting really good with speaking English. He seems to have quite a sense of humor too. Hard to believe, but Mustafa had no complains today. How refreshing. BTW why do people call him mamma? Been wondering about that. The property of the cornstarch mixture in the first experiment is called "thixotropic" (sp?). At low force, the surface acts like a thick liquid. Hit with higher force, and the surface acts lkke a flexible solid.

Oobleck is such cool stuff to make! I remember seeing a video years ago where someone made a whole tank of it, and as long as you kept moving, you could walk on top of it, but as soon as you stopped, you started to sink.

Wonderful. A good trick with the vinegar+baking soda is to pour the gas into a can. It is heavier than air, so you can just pour it if you first strap it to the first container with a hand over the top. Then try putting a candle in the second container. The candle goes out as the gas is CO2. Then try to light the candle without taking it out. It is impossible as there’s no oxygen! Then pour out the gas. This looks weird as the gas is invisible! However, after poiring out the CO2 you can light thw candle!

I like seeing them all so happy and enjoying themselves. I made a substance to play with that was cornstarch and water when I was a child. It was solid/liquid and I cannot remember for the life of me what it was called. I enjoyed that you added color to it. Mine was just plain.
