10:55 Abdul's observation about some signal is actually real. I'm not sure if he mentions it in this episode, but Jackson has pointed out before how cats do have a gesture they do, the 'slow blink', which is a way they show trust to each other, or to him. He also does it to gain their trust. I suppose it comes from the cat relaxing its defenses -- if it blinks so slowly, it's eyes are closed longer, indicating it does not feel threatened. Sometimes Jackson will do it over and over, until finally the cat reciprocates. It's very interesting!

One of my past elementary students told me that she wanted to become a veterinarian and return to Pakistan to work. She told me that there were few vets in her former homeland. That brought me to tears. All my students knew that I was a animal lover from the get go.

They talk about how dangerous the cat is. I wonder whether those scratches would be more dangerous in Pakistan because of lack of access to clean water or other products for wound care?

Some cats do have health issues on the show, but mostly the cats are seen to be misbehaving due to their environment or lack of experience of their owners in handling and raising cats. They are wild animals but can coexist with us once each understands the other's rules and behaviors.

Can we go to the snake farm? I want to see the snake farm. Please and thank you.

Cats and snake farms?! I've subscribed and am here for a trip to the snake farm. On the subject of animals, some suggestions: Deep Blue, the gorgeous Great White shark. Birds from all over the world. Crufts agility courses. Species of whales, dogs, and cats. Einstein the talking Parrot. There is so much to show these wonderful people ♥

I am more interested in *their* reactions and comments. Like the young woman who believes that cats can be 'possessed' for instance. She made the comment as thought she actually believed that this was true. And then when he arrived at the women's home and hugged. The minute he asked if they were related, I knew why he'd asked. I'm glad you could explain that here in the west, people hug each other in greeting. It shows trust and affection without being sexual in any way.

They would all be aghast at how in my cat's personal space I get. I even let her love bite me (not always gentle).

The oldest gentleman, Abdul. I find him very engaging and warm. Everything he says seems so thoughtful and genuine. Parvati is so pretty and her outfits are always so beautiful.

They had very interesting comments about how Jackson handled the situation. I like when Parvati said that we can't even fully understand human psychology, and yet Jackson is able to understand cats so well!

This was cool but you have to show them Steve Irwin, the crocodile hunter. He didn't hunt so much as rescue and love every living thing he met. I loved him just by watching him and I cried when he died. He was such an amazing man. They would be shocked at the things he did. With love, always.

This was a great video. It's sad to see that some people still discriminate against cats of any color, when all they want is a good life, just like anyone else. In fact, in many cultures, black cats are a sign of *good* luck. Jackson Galaxy spent *years* learning to understand cats and their needs, so that he can help them and their owners. Sometimes it takes reeducation on the part of the owners to help the cats adjust and not feel threatened all the time. I'm glad you chose this JG video, because I watched it some time ago and remember the case.

Cats are everything for me, by far the most beloved animal in my life. My cat Sophia used to be very aggressive as well, but watching some videos, included Jackson's channel, I could calm her up and she became a very active and happy cat. She loves playing hunt and rub my hair with her face. Cats are sacred for Bastet and everyone who has this animal in your home is blessed by Bastet as well.

I love how philosophical every video gets. There is always a lesson to be learned and I like what I can learn with them. Kudos to you, that you let speak a lot of different people, man and woman, that broadens the perspective, but try to be more objective yourself while talking to them, because everyone has a different perspective. love your videos!

I love that they recognised designed appropriated by the west s we could be educated about where they come ad they also seemed to enjoy the novelty of spotting something familiar to them. I like the idea of a snake farm episode!

Actually, in the future, if I could ask. I would like maybe not so much a reaction video and more one that goes into all of their/yours customs and such. Hugging eachother is a common greeting here in the West, but how do you greet someone in Pakistan? The only thing I know is that when you're invited to their homes and offered tea, not drinking that tea is a very big show of disrespect.

I think the key point that Jackson Galaxy always manages to get across is that you can't fix another creature unless you speak to them on their level. He always emphasizes what would be natural for a cat to do; associating good things with the right interactions; identifying what is it that the cat is actually reacting to. Half of the owners call their cats awful, or that their cats are being spiteful or doing things on purpose because they hate their owners. Half the time, the cat is bored, they haven't had proper introduction, they are viewing their owner as a threat or prey, or there is something physically/mentally wrong with them. Most of the problems, in short, are interpreted by the owners through human filters rather than cat filters. So Jackson really just acts as a translator of sorts.

Here we have the belief that if a black cat crosses your field of vision you will get bad luck. Im not supertitious tho, I actually owned some black cats, they are beautiful. Its interesting different cultures share the same superstitions.

I wouldn't say hugging & kisses are always done here when meeting new people. They may've been communicating over the phone, and he's well known to them already.

Jackson doesn't really work to fix the cat. He fixes the people, and the cat fixes itself.

I loved this. Jackaon Galaxy is a great guy, He really understands cats so well. How about you show them our famous animal hero known as the supervet (Professor Noel Fitzpatrick) He is a pioneering veterinary surgeon from Ireland and the absolute best there is. He saves animals that others can't. For example there was a cat called oscar who had lost both his back legs in an accident. Noel fitted two bionic legs on the cat and now he can walk just like a normal cat. It's a bit like when humans have prosthetic legs, but with the kind that Noel gives the animals, these ones are surgically attached, so they never have to take them off. They're always permanently "on" They're implanted into the skin and bones, so become a part of the body almost. Many animals would have had to have been put to sleep without Noel but now they're happy and live life just like any other animal. He is trying also to help humans, by trying to connect with human drs, so that we, if we lose limbs can have a fitted leg, a bionic one, rather than the stupid strap on ones which cause so much pain and discomfort and frustration. He has a charity called the humanimal trust (a blend of the words human and animal) Which is his charity to encourage human drs to not only connect with vets like himself for the purpose of helping humans with their lost limbs, but also so humans can benefit from the advanced knowledge vets have that can help humans in other ways and also he advocates so that animals are not experimented on unnecessarily. He is an incredible gentleman and has such a wonderful heart. (He is the gentleman in my profile picture with me) The photo is from when he visited my hometown on his tour (Yes. he oddly did a tour called welcome to my world) Where he was discussing not only how he became a vet, but about how animals change our lives and the amazing bonds we have with them and he also talked about how he wants human drs and vets to connect with each other for the benefit of all.

I have 2 cats. I agree with Parvati, they aren't much use haha! They're nice cats though. My son is 2 years old and he grabs their ears and tails sometimes because he doesn't understand how to treat them yet. The cats just endure it and don't try to hit him because they understand he's just little. Cats can be pretty smart. I used to watch this show and learned a lot about cat behaviour and how to communicate with them better. Jackson Galaxy seems like a good dude.

In my experience, each cat has its own unique personality. While you can get a cat to warm up to you, you will not change its natural personality. Some cats prefer to be alone most of the time, while others will constantly follow you. I find the red/orange cats tend to be more social and outgoing and would probably best be appreciated by dog people.

For the person who makes the captions: please consider leaving each caption up for 1 or 2 seconds after the person has finished speaking their phrase, rather than removing it exactly at the moment the person finishes speaking. This way, it will be easier for people to be able to read them in time, and not feel nervous or uneasy, and need to rewind the video frequently.

One thing you should tell these people is that they're hugging him because he's a celebrity helping them with their cat. It's not normal to hug a stranger. Usually meeting a stranger just includes a handshake. Hugs are for family and friends and maybe a celebrity.

Tell him, cats have facial and body language. Their vocals are only sometimes an indicator on which the things they try to communicate. Have to study their eyes if they blink slowly fast or not at all. It depends really on, their tail as well. The position of the tail as the same is with dogs. Most people think cats and dogs are different mentally, but not very much so.
