The egg steamer is a great idea, as steam is hotter than boiling water. However, it's useless if you don't have electricity. The multi-blade scissor sounds like a good idea, but it didn't look particularly sturdy. I think the mini-chopper was the best idea, since it doesn't need electricity, It also looks to be of better quality than the other two items. It think it's important for Westerners to see how other people appreciate things that we take for granted. I love how the younger lady (we *still* don't know her name!) playfully claimed all three items.

There should be more of these mixed female and male videos. I know culture plays a part as well and that should be respected but it's fun to watch and just have a listen to the ladies laughing and teasing Babu. 😆👍

I don't think there's anything I love more than these women being given access to technology that can help them in the kitchen! It's so hard. I have first-hand knowledge of the kind of constant backbreaking work they do in places like this (I used to live with a small eastern Indian tribe, for context).

Eggs should be dropped into cold water after steaming to allow the shell to come off easily. Just a kitchen tip!

This was cool. The veg-slicer had a peeler they used. I would peel and cut a large potato to fit the peeler. Put water and a little lemon juice (to stop the potato from browning before you are ready to cook) in a pan and slice the potato with the peeler. Just keep peeling until no potato remains. You just made bunch of potato chips (aloo crisps). Perfect thickness for frying, and all are the same thickness.

I love them all , villagers coming together and telling stories are my favourite moment of the day

Imagine how excited they would be if they saw an electric food processor. You can even grate cheese with em.

I use the last tool at my kitchen to slice garlic. This way I have sliced garlic all month and it is much faster to cook.

1/2 an hour to boil an egg? lol When I was in the Royal Navy [80's as a medic] we made hard boiled eggs and toast for patients who would be NBM [nil-by-mouth] either at 23:59 of 06:00hrs. One of my trainees did not know how long to boil an egg. We said around 5 minutes. 15 minutes later we said "Where are the eggs?" He had to make 5 so he thought it was 5X5=25 minutes. lol

I hope they each got to have at least one of those items. And I hope we will see these ladies again soon.

I just got the newest Swedish Ankarsrum Kitchen machine for my mom. Making bread by hand is exhausting when you get a little older.

put eggs in cold water... bring to boil ... then you boil eggs only 7 minutes and they are done! Put them in cold water again until cooled. Eat them immediately or refrigerate them until ready to eat

The green cutter seems kind of crap IMO. The other two are pretty good though. Interesting to see a chopper like that (the spinning one) that doesn't run on electricity.

I love to see women on the show! I hope they will get some excursions like the men did too. Mom used to buy gadgets and never use them save once or twice for the novelty. I don't. I stick to good pans and pots, a good set of knifes and ustensils including a non fancy but sturdy peeler, food processor and mixer and for the fancy days, a mandolin and a siphon. Less clutter, less to clean. I can cut an onion with a knife much faster with more precision than gadget and only have a knife to clean. For the egg, a simple pot with a tiny bit of vinegar in the water for easy peeling does the trick. It's good to see them having fun though.

Besides the basics, the only super amazing and useful kitchen tool I would recommend is a really good immersion blender. It immediately opens the door all all kinds of amazing sauces and soups. I means it's doable without one but I made a creamy broccoli and cheese sauce the other day, hit it with the immersion blender a few times, right in the pan while cooking and it becomes the best topping for a baked potato 🤣. Air fryers are also really good if you often don't have much time. I cook about 50% of my meals in my air fryer.

Here we also can see another side of Uncle Babu, he is always the charming gentleman but with the ladies...Uncle, you must have been a real enchanter as young! 😉 I have always worked with knives in the kitchen and have seen on certain kitchen gadgets as something not necessary to have. But with years gone by, hard work and sicknesses I have started to collect some gadgets to avoid pain in my hands and being able to cook a little more healthier food (like the air fryer). We have only one body and many things can happen thru the way of life. We do not think about that when we are young and now I wish that I had thought a little different about things before. There is a lot of things we really do not need but there also is clever things that eases our life, giving us time and energy to do other important things, like spending time with our loved ones, meditate or taking a walk in nature giving gratitude to Mother Nature for her wonders.

Please get each of them all 3 gadgets to use in their homes. Such simple items in so many kitchens in the US . Many times we will have multiple gadgets and appliances that do the same things . Please do more product testing videos and if they have never seen the shows and videos of extreme Christmas lights and yard decorations. God bless.

You should have showed em a mixer. And a real food processor

One thing missing from the egg boiler 1) that cord is 2 wires in single single plastic not a rubber cable -> incredibly unsafe for a kitchen, any nick in it could cause electric shock or a fire ... 2) you usually have a measuring with a pin in the end to prick the egg shell so that is doesn't explode from the steam 3) the device works by boiling off the water then noticing the difference in energy needed to heat the plate (heats faster) and the thermostat then makes a buzzer to sound that means you control the cooking time with the ratio of eggs to water inside hence the measuring cup.

It was great fun watching the kitchen gadget video just a little FYI the modern peeler you can go both ways so you can pull the potato or carrot whatever you're peeling root vegetable it is whatever you're feeling you can pull it towards you and then push the peeler back away from me pull it to you push it back away from me it'll peel both ways neat little trick that not very many people actually realize

This was a fun video. "This uncle is very funny!" I love these 2 ladies. If they saw my very average N. American kitchen they'd be rather surprised at how many electric and other convenience gadgets and tools I have, yet I bet they are better, faster and more accomplished cooks than I am. My newest "toy" is a stand mixer I chose, for free, from my job, from a HUGE list of various types of items from jewelry to appliances to sorts gear to tools, etc., as a gift for working there 25 years. I love it but did not think too much about it. Now I will appreciate all this stuff I take for granted much more. 😊
