Guess I dodged a bullet not going to tribe. My Dad's got dementia as well. It's rough brother. None of these companies give a damn about any driver. Even their best.
Yeah I no what you mean I've been out on the road with tribe so I could get home to get my wife to her doctor appointment she was almost killed back in October and broke her back in three places and has to have injection into her spine it's been even month that I have been working here told my home time was not put in now this month I'm stuck in Chicago and here it is sun and I don't see how in the hell I'm going to make it home to get her to the doctor Tuesday morning I was told when I came to wind for these guys I was going to be like family who does their family like this?????
With your sugar numbers being dangerously high, I'm surprised they even allowed you to get behind the wheel! You should have been medically disqualified and placed on a safety hold. It's scary to know drivers are out there on the verge of having a diabetic episode!😮
Eff big trucking companies. They book loads that they are paying for just to get the freight. Close the border and actually follow FMCSA laws and clean out the drivers that shouldn’t be in the seat.( FMCSA states that in order to get a CDL, the person MUST read write and comprehend ENGLISH)
That’s one thing I’d never do is abandon a truck. That can keep you from getting a job like an eviction can keep you from getting a place to live in. I’d always just bring the truck back and have enough to line up a ticket to get home. Just not worth them DACing you like that.
This is the reason I just cleaned out my truck on my home time. I’ve watched how they act when it comes time to go home. I don’t argue with them I do what they ask but I’m out here with one bag of clothes and enough money to get home from Gainesville always. I don’t want to quit, I’ve heard a lot of negative things about the company so I’m always prepared to take my truck to Gainesville and fly home. My wife just watched this video with me and said regardless of the cost she would make sure I got home from Gainesville always! I’m sorry about your Dad, go spend time with your family. Trucking will always be here but time with family is the most valuable thing!!
Companies wonder why people no longer stay. Always check the reviews before hiring on. Most people are honest on reviews especially the way they are treated.
Make certain you document the truck in tbe conditions you leftvit. Any communications, even if just yours with no reply, and save them. Good luck on your future endeavors. Hope your health improves. Hope your dad is as comfortable as can be until his time.
You’ll just need to find carriers whom don’t check DAC reports. You should go to the garbage industry. Drive a Roll off, or front loader. Off holidays, day shift, home daily & on weekends. Good luck my friend. God bless
