I love how the devs were like yeah we looked at hawkstrider but it wasn’t a problem big enough to nerf despite it being the main reason that beasts are so busted right now

It's more titus' tribute that beasts are busted. No sniping it and sporebat gives it. Crazy to think they started sporebat on tier 3, but they underestimated spells heavily.

Beast? Economy? Lmao It's pirates and elementals Beasts are however the only tribe with easiest access to spells (the others are needed heavily last patch)

@@3takoyakis From my personal point of view, spells are another kind of resource. Obtaining spells in disguise through bats can help you save the cost of purchasing. Many spells can help you improve the quality of the table and give you a lot of discovered cards, so you can have more cards in your hand. The more resources, the more money.

define "low" ( cos you may be higher than me!). one thing that you need to do, and i am still perfecting it, is not to "highroll" in your mind but to estimate what your board looks like and what you need to change; my second mistake is that i dont spend time to think over the offered units but tunnel vision on my idea from the previous turn ( i even pass on turn 3 the mentioned naga duo cos i have in mind the lubber strat!). lastly, stabilizing ( especially if you went 3 on 3) especially if done efficiently gets me to survive to top four in most cases and sometimes even come top 2. good luck! (i should just play chess instead of this, too old to apm)

​@@gjokoveshoski3024High apm is only necessary to max the potential for a couple of builds. You can play most of the builds in BG without a high apm, so long as you make good use of your time. The best recommendation that I was ever given is, "Stop watching the fights." There is no interaction. You can't influence the fights. Look at your opponent's board for recon and ideas for future builds to try, but you don't need to watch the whole fight play out. Instead, start thinking about what cards might be available in your next shop. Think about your current build. What needs to be fixed, what would be worth pivoting for, and what spells would you buy if they showed up? If you make decisions for or against cards while the fight occurs, then you can be ready to make decisions much faster in your next shop! This doesn't raise apm, per se, but it raises efficiency and makes a high apm even less necessary.

It can give you a tier 2 dragon as a tier 1 minion. You used to run into the problem of wasting gold so that you don’t sell your upbeat on turn 3, but now that spells are in it’s much easier to be gold efficient and get a free dragon. It’s only good on the first turn though, I wouldn’t buy it any other turn unless I can triple it

I understand, but it's not like a tier 2 dragon is so powerful, and it's not even garantueed. There are 2 tier 1 dragons and 3 tier 2 dragons in the game right now. 3 of the 5 minions are terrible in tempo, one offers scaling with low tempo (skyfin) and one is a bit faster (Emissary) , so majority of the time it doesn't do too much. You can buy a 3rd minion and cast a 2 mana spell, or play economy minion if the shop offers and have 4 low tempo minion. With any other reasonable start you can have 3 better tempo minion for turn 3 without the garanteed lose on turn 1-2 (and most likely a better chance to not lose on turn 4). You basicly gain an extra gold (at best) for like 5-8 armor. The value it offers for the later rounds will be less and less imapactful even if you keep it. I'd say it's debatable if it's a good opening, but proclaiming it as the best tier1 starter is definetly not true as i see. Prove me if i'm wrong.

Lubber comp is good when you pull off but also risky.

Titus tribute should be a tier 5 that cost 4 gold. I believe that would balance it.

@@BenGoorYon the video already shows that the problem is when you repeatedly generate it, so its cost won't nerf it for Beasts. What OP said is a better nerf.

The big issue is that none of the mentioned spells matter for a fight but Titus Tribute. Deathrattle comps always had the issue that they need to get going first, so usually you had low health, and then a snipe on Baron meant your fight is lost and you are out of the game. Now you can have a triple deathrattle effect or even remove Baron entirely, since he technically only gives +50% in deathrattle stats/effects. Like on Beasts you can run a Mech Horse or additional Monkey instead, which is usually overall a bit weaker, but at the same time way more consistent since you rely less on Baron surviving. With chicken you can already trigger all the effects, so the sniping on Baron has become less of a problem, but you run into the issue of the pirate potentially killing your chicken/baron. One Mech Horse may not sound worth it compared to a Baron that may die, but with the spell you have a total of 13 units (1+4+8) without running baron. It just always happens. That's also why it's so insane on Murlocs, you just farm poisonous Murlocs like crazy and you will guarantee to always pull 2 from your hand, so with a golden Bassgill you draw 4. 2 golden Bassgill (which is not rare) and you pull 8 units that kill anything that is not shielded. And since its easier than ever before to stack up Gold (or just have additional Gold), you are pretty much guaranteed to have it every fight if the only thing you are looking for is the spell.

​@@DexTag The other two spells obviously matter for a fight, because they allow you to gain more power during the buy phase before a fight. As an alternative point of comparison, consider Tombs vs Mask or Warhorn. Tombs was the best Quest of the three, sure, but all three of them were among the best Quests in the game, and it wasn't that much better than the others. (The whole "Deathrattles lose you health because they're weak at first" thing just isn't true if you play well.) I haven't run the actual numbers on this, but if you are hard rolling 10g for the Tribute spell, my impression is that it's about 50/50 whether you actually find it or not, and probably about 75% if you get Saloon's Finest on T6. If you do this, you can still brick, and you're just spending 10g to run in place without improving your comp, which opens you up to getting outscaled. (This is why Jeef mentioned Sporebat was OP; a hand of free spells spells improves your odds a lot, and will give some nice consolation prizes like "free permanent Divine Shield" if you miss.) As for the rest of your post, this is why I said Chicken should be deleted. Chicken completely invalidates every tech card previously in the game for the purpose of countering Deathrattle comps. Who cares if you buy Worgen Vigilante to snipe Golden Titus if your opponent already triggered Goldrinn twice at the start of combat and has triple-digit minions with more on the way? There are only two ways to play around Chicken (other than highrolling, of course): 1) Get a large enough sniper pirate and snipe Chicken. Not only do you need Pirates in, and also need to position the sniper pirate correctly, you STILL need to win a 50/50 for the sniper pirate to trigger before Chicken. So as long as the Chicken player isn't throwing or AFK, there's like 10% chance that this actually works. (You can still snipe other pieces, but they're not as important as Chicken itself.) 2) Buy Tunnel Blaster or Lighter Fighter, and then trigger them at the start of combat... with Chicken! This is really unhealthy for the game and should just get removed.

I find mechs less frustrating if you go for the early hand buff combo with it and try to take early games with buffed magnetics until you get some sort of end of turn scaling with drakkari

I feel they could unnerf scrap scraper to generate magnetize minions every turn and it would help mechs a lot. Every two turns is slow as dirt particularly in comparison to trolley and other value generating tier 4 minions like sporebat.

@@dstreetz91 yeah I dont think every class of cards needs to be necessarily top tier as they can be used as filler cards when progressing I think the only class rn that needs a relook for its weakness would be quilboar since it doesnt really fit well into most builds outside literal quilboar build
