Soooo.. you really really need to build the quarry, lumbermill, and farm as quick as possible. There is no mention of that here, DO NOT neglect these if you want to beat the saga, as these will provide you with regular shipments of resources. Also you will need to do quests, hideouts, and world events to get tokens that you will need. These are absolutely necessary if you are planning on beating the Saga as well.
did the saga first try and i did barely any hideouts, quests and world events. and i didnt even repair the buildings quickly. this advice does not apply.
@@xbdgaming1649 Lol right? Ya so I just made it to day 12 solo. Find wooden barricades to other zones to get cut stone and wrought iron quick. Then, GET THE QUARRY going. This brings in tons more cut stone and iron. Make gates and towers. Close the gates at night and when they pile up open that gate and slash em down then close gate immediately. Run to another gate, repeat. Then upgrade towers to next tier. Gates heal over time so just dont let them break.
im just saying but repairing the quarry near your village as early as possible is also extremely recommended. Not only does it give you the necessary cut stone and ingot upgrade materials every 10 min. It goes straight to the villages war chest to be shared to everyone in the game. The earlier you repair it that just means more stone and ingots for your gates/tools/weapons etc. The lumberyard is ok but i'd prioritize the quarry and farm for making life a lot easier without having to outwardly farm for stone and iron or ore. Also for those confused about the quarry, it gives you 6 cut stone and 4 of the metal ingots every 10 minutes. You can either use those to repair your gates or you can even destroy them for either stone or flint if you need those materials more. Happy hunting and good luck surviving!!
Great way to get the initial resources you need to build your own gates at your village, is to destroy the walls the other enemies put up. Youll get Iron and Wood planks and Cut Stone a plenty.
Tip when starting and you do come across ores you want to collect. You can use a heavy attack and break them without a tool or weapon on hand. A few times I'll find a few and some mobs on my first search for branches etc
So I wanna add something here I know this isn’t a GUIDE.. but I’m telling you guys right now, one if you need some practice play survival once level 3 and put difficulty down lowest, it helps a lot to learn map ans what to get and where to go “while still being semi challenging”.. 2 and this is one is big idk why it wasn’t talked about in video.. UPGRADE THE FARM AND QUARRY AND LUMBERMILL.. “lumbermill last imo” the other 2 “quarry first” overwhelming how good they are.. just trust me, if you’re playing a long time it’s crazy how that stuff will basically farm for you while you clear camps and do events. It should’ve been mentioned here imo but again not a guide . Goodluck boys and girls!.
Hey! my friends and i did our first run today and got to day 16. is there something we are supposed to do before day 15? the never ending night was weird and we couldn’t go anywhere or else we’d freeze. it was my first time playing and i’m surprised information regarding this isn’t in a guide video like this.
@@CrunchesFPS hey!. So if you’re Playing saga mode the whole point is to kill fenrir and leave “basically” however if you’re playing survival it’s as long as you want and you won’t deal with the perma night and weather issue.
I really like this game but man it’s super hard for me to find wolves for that damn side quest. I can run around for a good 20 mins and only find like 3. It’s like, by the time I drop in the game everybody else already killed them all.
I like the game but I dont like that you basically can't explore as it's just a constant rush everyday. Hideouts are absolutely massive and got to floor 2 before blood moon rising attack and had to teleport back which was just such a pain

The first 2 nights you do not need to defend. Simply close the gates and you will make it through. Raiding camps and opening the chests within is the fastest way to level.
The game really keeps you on your toes. You can't just rest or relax as there will always be enemies to worry about. The jotunns were extremely difficult to handle at early game.
No one uses the town chest for team play , I had a guy keep taking the resources few ppl we’re stockpiling, he took it all keep holding it died lost everything they gathered , cause ppl are dicks ....🤦🏻♂️
its because they're noobs, they don't know that you can buy using the materials in the chest without actually taking the items out. I did that as well on my first run but i quickly learned.
Thanks for the video! I couldn't figure out how to equip better arrows on PC, once I had made them. Any idea what's going on there? The button on the icon is just blank.
Well you haven't even learn how to play then. Your right click ability even without weapons can knocked down trees and stone piles which can give resources to craft axe and pickaxe
Great game, but multiplayer sucks, you do a public game and 6 people join so the game scales and then they all leave permanently leaving those spots filled up and the difficulty doesn’t scale back down… so you’re one man fighting for 6 other players as well
@@wrydstepbr0_0 yes i have. and in a survival game i never have to restart. i have 2 start the first time, manage thirst/hunger etc and build my base...but i dont have to start over again and again which makes it a roguelike not a survival.
I have a question. Is it like every new game u start over and so have zero progress? What do u get by playing it. Is there no way to become stronger or something?
You have to start from 0 everytime you lose, but you earn rewards such as starting weapons and tools and new classes that make the game a litle bit easier everytime.
This game fucks you in the ass without a group.. holy fuck i wish it would move just like 25% slower so i could get my bearings, already have 10 hours ingame and loving it so far

ive been watching vidoes for the past couple of days and most people like it but some don't. I've heard its hard solo, at least for the first couple of runs. There is matchmaking however and the multiple systems in play here (survival, arpg, crafting, etc) are pretty simple and straightforward. It's only $20, i'm leaning towards it but i'm not sure. i love arpgs like diablo but i have lost interest in survival games over the years. I'm literally on the fence haha

It's ridiculous how fast these cycles come around.. We get hardly anytime to go off away from our base without it getting destroyed and having to completely start over. I think I bought this game too fast without getting a proper preview/review of the basics. I don't know how I feel about this title at the moment.. 🤷🏼♂️
@@tjurem I dont know. Me and my friend got to Day 13 in our first run, then the infinite night cycle started. Only the last Jotünn managed to beat us, then we returned to Valhalla. I disagree.
tip from me who just started playing, i left gates closed for 3 days and let them just get broken while exploring, i had purple armor and weapons by the 4th night
I was going to post a heated comment about how stupid this video is as its basically just the tutorial guide on your first run. this video was pointless to anyone who has played their first or second game.
I don't own the game yet so this kind of video does a good job at showing the general concepts of the game. Obviously the video isn't names "Before you buy" but I tend to look at beginners guides to get an idea of what the games are about. Thats just me though.
@@sbendel4411 I do the same thing, to see if its the kind of grind I am in the mood to play and get into, or if the crafting/combat system is something im just not into. I didn't do it with this game, friend recommended it to me, and I am trying to enjoy it but it's so hard to as someone who doesn't play these top down roguelike games
Too easy to die or Game Over, fun; but after hours of gameplay I had to realize that the main point of the game is to are guard the tree or feed souls to it and build it up. I was on day 3 or 4, have several thousands souls, was too far away from the tree and game over because something killed the village. Hours gone. But its addictive and I have deleted and re downloaded the game 3 times now, trying to figure out if I want to give it one more try.
I've now watched all the beginner tutorials for this game. I still can't get past day 3. Got to 10 in matchmaking. Its a dope game. But I feel like I'm playing a better battleroyale. As in there is nothing to progress towards. Just pure rage quit material every time the procedural generation is not on my side and can't get past day 3 because the f:ing biome with silver is nowhere to be found. For this kind of game I want some loot to stay when starting another game. It feels like 0 death dark souls Speedrun = not fun way hard. And the Russian kids screaming at their mics and running in town with nothing else than a level 1 sword make the online unplayable. They just take space and ruin the game
"10 things I wish I knew before I played" Change title to "10 things I learned on my first playthrough" This is full of pointless "tips and tricks" that are EXCEEDINGLY obvious, such as, make tools! gather resources! kill stuff! don't die! pointless...
Solo play is basically impossible. Bullet sponge jotunn, not enough time to gather sufficient resources, map is far too big with way too many things to do.
