Charge 5 will be better but more expensive

I just got the Tribit XSound Mega and I have to say that it ain’t all that. It’s not the most versatile speaker, meaning it doesn’t sound good at low volumes. Also, it lacks clarity. Im guessing that stems from the Mega only have one driver. Another driver or better yet a tweeter would’ve done this speaker a world of good. With that said though the Mega does thump at high volumes. Surprisingly so considering it’s size. If you have Charge 5 the I suggest not getting this speaker. Unless lights are important to you. Also, don’t pay the outrageous retail for this speaker ($109 😳). I copped for $82 and at that price I’m satisfied.

Unfortunately I haven't tried those but it's pretty comparable to the flip 5 and 6 as far as sound and size.

I can tell you about the charge 4 because I sold it few days ago and bought XSound Mega. Both sound amazing for their format (size) if you are not comparing speakers directly head to head. Comparing speakers will obviously point out some clear positives and negatives about them. First off, the bass. Charge 4 has a very boomy bass compared to tribit. It also has more bass on lower loudness. On some tracks it's significantly more pronounced and on some tracks just a little bit. It keeps that boomy bass all the way up to 70% I would say. Best way to say it is that it's more pronounced for casual listening if that's your thing. Tribit's bass is punchy on lower loudness and punchy + boomy from (40) 50% to 100%. Tribit's bass sound more natural and it's pretty enjoyable. XBass on Tribit was turned on. Coming from always boomy bass to punchier bass on tribit is weird at first but I'm sure you can get used to it in no time. Both are really good! Mids and highs. I really don't understand technical aspects of the sound but Tribit sound more open and clear comapred to charge 4. It's not a huge difference, but I could notice the clearer sound right away wich is great. One thing that surprised me about the vocals is some harshness on few tracks (It's not bad). Keep in mind that I was listening to a lot of music for the past few days and I can clearly notice that my ears are tired. Vocals are good overall and they are not lacking in quality. It's completely understandable that some songs do have more difficult vocals so don't worry about it. I can say that the charge 4 also had some struggles with vocals on certain tracks. To conclude, I really got used to charge 4 for the past three years and XSound Mega is a pretty different change in every aspect. I only tested on 15 songs and I really really like it considering how much cheaper it is compared to charge 4 on launch day price. For the price of 100$ and lower you can look into XSound Mega, SoundCore Motion+, EarFun UBoom, maybe even SoundCore Motion Boom if you like really bass heavy tracks.
