Hello Alan, I watched your old video that you talked about jbl Bluetooth speaker I'm planning to buy between Jbl flip 5 or charge 4, but I'm confused. I would like to know which one has the most deep sound or clean sound, I don't care about their price, size, connect plus or not, loudness, power bank, e.t.c. What I just want is deep sound and i will use it in my room only. Please I need a respond thanks.

Great work, Alan. At lower volumes I think the Flex is my fav - warm balanced sound. but as we get to 100% the Tribit and Charge 5 are superior. but I guess to really enjoy loud music better go with Motion Boom.
It's a toss up between the Charge 5 and the XSound Mega for me in this comparison with Tribit offering the much better value but I'd lean towards this Charge 5 (always a crap shoot what version you'll get with JBL, though). At least with the Charge 5 there's the option of stereo, it seems to be a bit more rugged, and I think it's a little more versatile. Since it sounds better at lower volumes it's a better choice for indoor use but it's brighter nature should also be better for outdoor purposes at higher volumes without being as screechy as the other options. Outstanding comparisons, Alan! 5 speakers in 1 video. 😯 Thank you for all your hard work. 😁👍👏
A late upload, I like that ! I like Charge 5 just a bit more, the lack of highs on the Tribit is a bit underwhelming, but hey, if the Mega is that cheap and if Tribit manage to make their app working for the Mega, it may end up being better ! The intro is hilarious BTW 😝
yeah i was rushing to get it out on the 6th, i missed by a couple of minutes UK time i think 😂 its frustrating i couldnt get the app to work and see what eq can do.
Xsound mega seems to be a retuned charge 4, with maybe even the same driver from the charge 4 as per teardown videos. Driver sharing between jbl oems and other brands. But quite a surprising result for Bose Flex. The little bugger punching nice.
not really sharing. as i understand it the manufacturers making the drivers let jbl get them exclusive for a period of time after which they can sell to other brands.
Alan Ross - Delivers again and again. Just delivers. 5 speakers. ONE video. Get it all here!! The latest and the greatest. The most value and the most bang for your buck! The bose Flex is always looking like a good deal. I think if I couldn't get the Tribit - I might just wait a little while and get two of the Bose because that stereo is a real thing. I have now used Bluetooth speakers in stereo so much that I will not get a speaker that does not do stereo anymore. With the speakers, I do have I only, ONLY, listen to them in stereo unless for some reason I only have one on my - and that happens so very rarely as to be almost never. I just think that stereo is the way to go, and the difference is just so powerful. For the Tribit to not have the stereo on such a good value speaker is a cardinal sin - I wonder how you feel about that. Is it disqualifying? or is it just a forgivable oversight? I personally could simply never live with it. It would feel like a waste of money. Maybe I am now too picky or expect too much for the money - I just would not do it. Haha. Love to hear your thoughts. Alan - you rule at this!!
I bought the bose flex based in part on your reviews and in part because another reviewer dropped it from 8feet and it still worked. I wanted the speaker for bicycle rides and the design was easy to mount on my bike in a way the speaker faced me. Max volume is perfect for outside rides, wouldn't want it much louder. The flip would fit in a bottle cage but the speakers wouldn't be facing me. Great speaker I love it , thanks for the reviews and jokes.
Great video my friend. Thanks again for a wonderful video. I also have purchased the new tribit xsound maga. And I am having trouble linking it with the app I emailed tribit and they sent me the new firmware information but I still can't get it to work. They also said they will be releasing another device called tribit stormbox blast it's going to be on the level of the jbl boombox. I Can't wait to see it. 👍👍👍
sad to hear its not just me but a problem with the app/speaker itself. like wking why release a product that already needs a firmware update and if you cant link to app you will never know there is a firmware update unless taking the trouble to do it manually.
I heard that. I honestly don't know why wking is always releasing the same devices twice. It's like everytime they come out with something new. they always re-release it with a new firmware updated. I really can't wait until they create an app for their dang speakers.
@@holeevukk4134 I'm looking to buy the Tribit X sound Max, does it have an eq adjustment and adjusting it makes any difference to the bass and loudness? Like it does to the Soundcore motion plus?
@Alan Ross Reviews Hi Alan, never seen you review the Soundlink Revolve Plus II , really looking forward to the video on these...Keep up the great work as always.
Your reviews are amazing, so thorough and with such expertise. Thank you so much. I would love for you to compare the Soundcore Motion Boom against the W-King D10. I hope you will make that happen.
@@alanrossreviews not a big deal to me it seems the mono speakers give a better bass response it’s all about the bass for me lol keep up the great work I enjoy your videos very informative and always provide their specs if available. Do you know if SONY is releasing a new line this year they need an upgrade.
@@alanrossreviews Very Nice 👍 On the Canadian Amazon site the xsound mega had a $50 dollar coupon taking the price from $129.99 to 79.99 cad (around 50 quid)
I have asked you for opinion while buying speaker you recommended tribit max soundplus and till date it is working like a king👑 Now I am planning for an upgradation which one should I go for Xsound mega or Stormbox pro and why? Thanks in advance🙏
my stormbox pro was rubbish. the mega has more bass than the plus but i would not call it an upgrade. consider marshall stockwell 2 as upgrade for clarity and finesse. you will need to go bigger and/or more expensive for a real upgrade
would love to but i simply cant test them as i would like because of neighbour issues. i also have no outdoor area that would be suitable not to mention the cost 🙈
Just got a mail from tribit with the link to a new firmware for the mega. Now after a bit work its developed in the app🎉 i can eq the mega just like the blast and i love it. Would be great to have eq recommendations from you❤
Hello Sir I am a big fan of bluetooth speakers and I do watch your videos often. Of recently I have ordered the Soundcore Select Pro but you haven't reviewed it so far. Want to know your thoughts about it. Please review it. 🙏🙏From India🇮🇳
@@alanrossreviews Okay Sir. The Motion Boom is not available in India and since the Select Pro is very similar to it so I thought of checking it out. Anyway please let me know why you aren’t recommending it. Please Sir 🙏
21:48 I have excellent hearing🤣 my limit is around 21,330 KHz you may ack most equipment only goes to 20Khz and still drop fast before that .my Sennheiser momentum 3 goes up to 22Khz😁 Besides that seems like I made the right choice my Charge 5 is actually my favorite speaker but the Bose did kinda surprised me by holding up the way it did great video once again 👏
lets see how you do after 20 years of boombox listening 🙈🙈 yup this makes me laugh when majority of studio recordings are limited to about 20khz and then they market hi-res at 40khz 😭😭😭
Lol I have heard MUCH louder things I been inside of a Jeep Grand Cherokee with 12,12 inch Subwoffers along with the rest of the set up pushing around 70k watts and I never felt anything like it in my life 🤯my organs were shaking it was hard to set up or breath. I took a break from music for 2 weeks 😅
Thanks for the review. I'm still rocking with my XB30 from 2017. Soundwise, do you think these speakers are that much better that it warrants an upgrade? Thank for your great reviews.
There’s a coupon code floating around where you could bring the XSound Mega down to $35, that’s in tandem with the coupon that Amazon provides. At that price it’s hard to resist
I still think it's absolutely impressive what Tribit squeezes out of this single full range driver in default mode with XBass ON. Overall thought out into detail it's a really good everyday companion. Especially for its price.
@@alanrossreviews 💯% agree. Tribit tells me a few weeks ago that the Mega needs a Firmware Update for App Support and it's on its way. I don't know if this will happen and when, but they just released a firmware update for the Micro 2 with improved bass boost at low levels. Maybe they'll also give us a TWS-Mode for the Mega via FW. The StormBox Pro is also in desperate need of a sound-improving update (after all, they call it Flagship).
Tribit just released a speaker that going to compete with the Soundcore Motion Boom, supposedly 😒 It called the StormBox Blast. So far just available in Asia.
@@alanrossreviews yeah well. What do I know, hence why I’m asking you to do it. You’re thee go to guy. Plus, this is the first ipx7 rated w-king speaker with a dedicated app! How about now, are you interested?
@@alanrossreviews here’s my verdict. The speaker severely lacks bass at volumes exceeding 50% and higher. But it does sound nice with old songs. 50s, 60s and 70s music sound excellent. Even at 50-80% volumes. It does not sound great with newer modern trendy music. That’s my take. I would love to hear what your expert opinion would be on this 40watt outing from w-king.
Hi Alan ! I would like to know your opinion. Are they big differences in terms of sound quality and power between the denon dsb 250 and the sony xb33 ? Thanks a lot for your response 😊
Tribit Xsound Mega or the Anker Soundcore Boost? My Tribit Maxsound Plus literally died the other week and Amazon was kind enough to give me a full refund.. I was thinking to get a replacement until I saw your previous videos, any help would be much appreciated! Thanks 🙏
Me personally.. I would take the deep & mid bass over upper bass/clarity... Just waiting for my xsound mega in a few days now, I choose it over JBL flip 6.. I had charge 5 but had to sold it, the bass it not enough for me
@@alanrossreviews it's phased out now in my country and much expensive back then.. not just the bass, I love the longer battery life and compact out of this 30w speaker.... I place my order 2 days ago for $62 only and then watch your videos about it, I'm excited because Im a heavy bass addict... Haha.. I would love to see update for xsound mega with app EQ...
@@alanrossreviews I'm well aware.. I had motion plus for more than a year. but I had to sold it, the bass is not deep and boomy after bass mode or EQ-ing like charge 5, both just don't have that sub-wooder kinda bass.. natural sounding bass is all that matters to me.. it will move you and keep you pumpin'.. I'm excited for the next tribit speakers release next year.. specially the next version of stormbox blast.. 😁
Alan good evening. What’s your opinion on best speakers sound quality and loudness for $150-$200? It would be used for back yard get together and the beach/lake
Just picked up the motion boom at £67, and at that price, unless portability is the overriding factor it's game over. I got the motionplus and did a side by side and it's not even a fair fight. More detail yes, but in terms of what you buy it for.. Convenience, value, surely that thing can't be beaten for the price. I was seriously considering the Sonos Roam until your review, as other "respected" reviewers had raved about it, some even awarding it the best out there. They need to see an audiologist.. And damn quick because what I heard, and being involved in recording and pro audio for most of my life.. Was seriously underwhelming. Keep up the good fight Alan! You're right more times than not! 👍🥂
its all about opinions, im just giving my opinion, so no right or wrong. im not one of those that think there is a target curve for everything and thats all there is to it 😁😁 we can agree the motion boom is great value 👍
@@alanrossreviews this is true but when you have few mates over for some drinks. They don’t care or mind. Plus I’m always getting compliments on my 2 xsound mega speakers.
Great review as always! Which one would you give to you girlfriend as a present out of all these? It's rather unconventional I suppose, but I love Bluetooth speakers and she loves music: D
Mb i have a hard time getting it, but smh i think the xb33 sounds quite honest, although lack of kick in the bass it overall remains pretty true to the recording, for example when the charge 5 came out i watched oluvs review on patreon and it was so much more balanced, also claimed by oluv himself, were the charge 5 w'd lose its balance and just scream with not much more bass going on.. But yeah in order to sound grat u need a work around the eq. Impressed by the bose too, although not that flat its good for size but a bit overprice i'd say.
@@alanrossreviews oof mybad i thought that saying the name of the person and then applying the subject was a thing haha. Anyways great review, and to anybody in case i missunderstood i am not trying to make sony look good just tellin what i think about it.
mentioned in opening line 🥳 already compared to m+ in first look. overall c5 is best sounding but gets harsh as you push volume. only xb33 and pl7 here are stereo.
@@alanrossreviews thanks love your videos you do the specifications sound comparisons and great sound keep up the great work if I need to know about a speaker your my first stop.
Hi Alan. What's the best bluetooth speaker with good high end extension? I have tinnitus in the 10kHz+ region and I'm looking for a bluetooth speaker that can help mask it (+ use it for music too).
if you mean a bright speaker the dali katch i just reviewed is right up there. not sure if you mean simply bright sounding or literally well extended past 10khz??
Had the tribit xsound mega for a couple of weeks now, And It's gjetting better and better. Great speaker for the price. That bass is just wonderfull. I have managed to connect it to the app, and manage to enter the eq but sadly it doesen't affekt the sound on the speaker, very frustrating, think playing with the 9 band eq could make this tribit sound very awesome. So hoping for an update on the app.
So the Charge 5 bass sounds better than the Mega? I only play at lower volumes. I wonder how the Wh figures for the Charge and Mega would compare in real life. Tribit is a Chinese company, so I would take their spec with a grain of salt. Chinese brand batteries always have a lower real world rating than they're stated rating. What is your utube rating for? I've never figured that out.
