If Leeman keeps going he could have a shot at world's strongest man... he's young he works hard... he takes lots of juice... damn he should get there big time!
+Nikita Koba Yeah... but on the "young" side... Leeman only really has Hafthor and Eddie Hall as direct competition... Brian Shaw and Big Z are 2 of the greatest of all time and always will be, but they are getting old. As much as that saddens me... However Leeman is still in his early 20's. So he has time on his hand.
Man i would also get that sick stomach feeling before a workout. I tried hard af. Now I don't try as much, and my lifts are still going up, but god I actually miss that feeling in my gut. It was a mixture of excitement and anxiety. I want to have to try that hard again.
Thank you so much George, I really appreciate all your hard work and videos. Blessings and please keep them coming and your life progressing. Blessings.
This guy is an inspirational person, say what you will about him. People should take his message of hardwork and devotion to heart and apply it to other things in life. Instead of trying to convince everyone that he's on the verge of suicide or going on a shooting rampage. Besides everyone has some mental problems of their own. Most people don't even realize it because they think they're perfect or whatever but at least people like George are aware of it and have found a way to cope with it and turn it into something positive.
George Screw that guy he hasn't walked a mile in your shoes period. All the respect big guy. I find this video VERY inspirational no doubt when a man or woman goes to the extremes it is not all Rainbows and Sunshine.
You're so lucky to have haters... I wish I had some... It always means you're doing something right and the losers of this world react to this. Still need to get better I guess!
I love his realism and honesty! He is a brute beast and he tells the truth! God damn he taught me something with this clip! Try harder!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Even though I don't agree with fueling muscular dysmorphia/ perfectionism/ escapism... I agree with most of what you say... especially about how pain and more precisely FEAR is a greater motivator, no revolution was born of a smile, but underlying that fear of a mother losing her child is love of that child... Theres more to this issue than a motivational video!
I relate to what George is saying, not everyone has a happy perfect life. The bad experiences and difficulties can be a driving and motivational force, powerlifting is one of those sports that can totally absorb you and provide direction and purpose in one's life!
good video , all the truth about the haters and the lazy punk asses ... awesome man, true motivation ... an eye for a eye , a lifter for a lifter .. my respect :) keep it up
Keep in mind people, he may not be lifting for the same reasons you are. Not everyone is trying to test their limits because they are suicidal or have vast amounts of pain or adversity in their lives. Some people want to see what they are capable of and are aiming for the stars. I lift heavy and have no hatred or loathing in my life as I'm sure many of you don't. The truth is that you have to push yourself as hard as you can every time you lift, but you have to pace yourself.
can you please make the video available on mobile again @Tiago Vasconcelos I used to listen to this during my warm ups as I can really relate to his mentality. if so it would be muchley appreciated. thanks
Khan89Tsung I can't because of the copyright music, try to get a proxy app for your phone. play.google.com/store/search?q=youtube%20proxy&c=apps&docType=1&sp=CAFiDwoNeW91dHViZSBwcm94eXoCGACKAQIIAQ%3D%3D%3AS%3AANO1ljJXVc8&hl=en
Georrge Leemans words about steroids and happy individual are words, that ANYONE interested in strenght sport should listen to. Pls google his vid about steroids and some of the quotes. Ty for this tribute?
Would be crazy to see if you could induce an adrenaline oversurge medically. Get what happens in the mind of one who is about to die. That last line of defense, the strentgh you get in that very moment. Do you think you could do it ? would be crazy to see what you could lift in that moment lol
+phoenixdark15 It has its disadvantages too it really feels like dying if you miss the pr with that mentality. I feel like total wreck until i get it up later. But when you feel like a total loser nobody you bust your ass even harder.
+larppa666 right? you fucking miss it and now you go home and everything on your mind after that is "how the fuck did I miss it" then you get it up and for a few minutes it's the best feeling in the world.
love this vid, his mental state is similar to mine & why I lift n lift heavy.. he just put it into words for me, if you wanna watch a bloke with 1 arm lift some heavy ass weight have a look at my channel.. lots of new vids to come up to
You guys are just butt hurt because he's being brutally honest about what he does and isn't sugar coating it. You may go and look any other who has succeeded at a great level and say they are a "good" role model but.. fail to realize they think the same way Leeman does. Do you think Ronnie Coleman is just all genetics? People like him said fuck it... i will do whatever it takes to ruin mother fuckers dreams, and he did. Respect. You don't think Pudzinowski knows he took 10+ years off his life? Thats why he was the best. So have fun lifting your 225 rubber weights at planet fitness.
To be on Georges level you have to be different in some way than everybody else. And being depressed and angry sure works a lot better than listening to "Simply Red" and smiling while deadlifting.
Zydrunas Savickas and Brian Shaw both have epic deadlifts and they come across as kind gentle giants. Real men keep their mouth shut and get the job done.
not sure what bad form youre talking about... trying to call a professional lifter on form is pretty hilarious. his form is awesome for ripping 900 lbs off the floor.
Fuck dumbass, thats not funny or accurate. He said if you're as happy pealing potatoes as you are deadlifting 900 pounds you stay pealing potatoes instead of lifting 900 pounds. So fucking hard for you to grasp that?
While I don't downplay any of this man's achievements, I disagree with the fact that you can't be happy to lift or be an elite lifter. Plenty of the strongest people in the world have been also some of the happiest, drugs or no drugs.
